Announced roughly a year ago and planned for the end of the year, Riot's main VALORANT tournament is now just days away. A few days ago, Riot revealed a special skin bundle for this main tournament. Featuring Karambit and Vandal skins, this bundle has drawn a lot of attention and also stands out from other bundles because of its price. While the karambit in the bundle has drawn the most attention, it brings to mind its only rival as a karambit knife, the Reaver 2.0 Karambit. We players have already started comparisons and debates over which one is better. With just hours left until VALORANT Champions 2021, let's compare the game's newest karambit with its only rival.
Champions 2021 Karambit
The Champions Karambit, included in the VALORANT Champions 2021 special skin bundle, is discounted if bought as part of the bundle, but if you just want the knife on its own, you'll need to pay 5,350 VP. It has a nice draw animation to start with, and when you press the inspect weapon key, you get to watch a classic but pleasant short karambit-twirling animation — though I should mention that costs 10 Radianite Points. On top of the blade animation, if you spend another 10 Radianite Points, the champion aura feature unlocks. With this feature, our knife glows and spins with golden streaks. Note that there are only 12 days left to get this skin, which won't return to the store or the Night Market again. December 12, the day the VALORANT Champions final is played, is also the last day for our skin bundle.
Reaver 2.0 Karambit
Released on the market last March as the new version of the Reaver skin, the Reaver Karambit from the Reaver 2.0 bundle costs 3,550 VP in the store. If you'd bought it as a bundle, you would have paid 7,100 VP but gotten the Reaver 2.0 Karambit for free. That bundle also included Frenzy, Bucky, Phantom and Odin skins. Unfortunately, we no longer have the chance to buy this bundle, which was released months ago. We can still buy it from the store and also from the Night Market. It starts with a classic karambit animation, and once you spend 10 Radianite Points to upgrade the animation, a special draw animation greets you. Drawing criticism from many players early on and disliked for that reason, the Reaver 2.0 Karambit was still in fairly high demand in the store thanks to being the only karambit in the game and, despite the criticism of its animation, its eye-catching look.

So, with all these pros and cons, which karambit would you choose? Honestly, while the Champions Karambit's high price gives us pause, the fact that it won't return to the store again is just as tempting. What about you?
