In 2022, Riot Games took things a step further, partnering with Lil Nas X on a Prestige look for K'Sante and creating an entirely different look from the champion's Empyrean skin for the Prestige version.

Earning LoL Prestige skins requires saving up currency. So if you see your favorite champion get a new skin along with a Prestige version, you'll need to earn a certain amount of Mythic Essence.

Mythic Essence is currently the legendary currency used in League of Legends' Mythic Shop to buy legendary skins, content, and Prestige skins.

How Do You Earn LoL Mythic Essence? 2023

One way to earn Mythic Essence in League of Legends is by buying Masterwork Chest bundles. Masterwork chests are found under the "Loot" tab in the shop and can be bought for 165 RP. Just buying a chest alone, however, won't earn you any Mythic Essence. To get Mythic Essence, you'll need to buy Masterwork Chest bundles. These typically include the chest itself, a key, and Mythic Essence. Depending on which bundle you buy, you'll get different amounts of Mythic Essence. You can also earn these bundles through in-game events. Completing missions is important too.
