What Happens If Mbappe Joins Real Madrid in FIFA 22?

Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid rumors have completely rocked the public. It has been thought for some time that the French superstar is happy at PSG but could still explore other paths. Things started getting serious when Real Madrid knocked on Mbappe's door with an offer of 50 million euros a year. So what happens if Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid? What would Real Madrid's squad look like in FIFA 22? Is the Los Galacticos era coming back? We looked into these possibilities in our article!

Will Kylian Mbappe Go to Real Madrid?

To be honest, the Mbappe–Real Madrid rumors have gotten quite serious for now, but this whole thing has been playing out like a 2-3 year long flirtation. These rumors, which were also around during the 2018 World Cup, fell apart after PSG said the star forward had a future with them and that they wouldn't let him transfer elsewhere. Now, though, there's reportedly a 50 million euro annual offer on the table for Mbappe. Converted, that comes out to the star forward earning 1,425 Turkish Lira per minute (excluding sponsorship deals and the like), and it looks like he'll accept the offer.

The real question is whether PSG will accept the offer. If they want to make money off Mbappe before he becomes a free agent in 6 months, they don't really have much choice but to accept. But last year they easily turned down an offer of over 200 million euros. It looks like Real will really need to open their wallets. Worst case, we could say Mbappe will be wearing a Madrid shirt by the time FIFA 23 comes out.

What Would Happen If Kylian Mbappe Went to Real Madrid?

If Mbappe joins Real Madrid, in real life it would instantly turn Real into a Champions League contender. But we won't be looking at that today. To be fair, Mbappe — FIFA 22's cover star and, in real life too, one of the best footballers in the world — is one of the most fun cards to play with in the game. And if he joins Real Madrid, plenty of users will pick Real for both the fun of pulling off skill moves with the Mbappe-Vinicius duo and for winning matches. Mbappe's FIFA 22 card would be a dream come true for many people building a La Liga squad. At the same time, with Mbappe linking up perfectly with a "meta left-back" like Mendy, the price of Ferland Mendy's FUT card could potentially double.

How Could a FIFA 22 Los Galacticos Squad Be Built?

If the Kylian Mbappe–Real Madrid relationship becomes official, we'll be facing a dilemma at forward when building the Los Galacticos squad. Would a Real Madrid fan with a huge budget play Fenomeno Ronaldo, Real legend Raul, Cristiano Ronaldo, or Kylian Mbappe up front? Maybe you could even play two strikers together. You could also go with French legends who wore the Real Madrid shirt, like Zidane and Makelele, from the same country as Mbappe. Building Real Madrid squads spanning past and present (as long as your budget allows, of course) is only going to get more enjoyable. SPOILER: Unfortunately, we couldn't find anyone better than Carvajal :)
