Who Is Spider-Man: Miles Morales?

Miles was born in 2003 in Brooklyn, New York City. He is the only son of his father, police officer Jefferson Davis, and his mother, teacher Rio Morales. Miles developed an interest in technology at an early age, and by the time he was just five years old he could take his family's television apart and put it back together. In his teenage years, Miles Morales and his friends developed a phone app that could access and retrieve information about almost any piece of technology, even military-grade equipment.

Miles is first seen recording video of the battle between Spider-Man and the Inner Demons during the "Meet Camel" mission. While trying to protect the crowd from bombs thrown by the Inner Demons, he notices his mother is there and saves her, but he cannot prevent his father's death. When Miles is found by the Inner Demons, Mr. Negative decides to spare his life. Miles struggles to cope with his father's death and goes through a difficult time. Peter Parker tries to comfort Miles at his father's funeral, but his efforts are in vain. Remembering his own experience of losing a father figure, Peter Parker, hoping Aunt May is at F.E.A.S.T., asks her to reach out to Rio and help Miles.

F.E.A.S.T. (Food, Emergency, Aid, Shelter and Training)

F.E.A.S.T. is a homeless shelter owned and run by Martin Li in Marvel's Spider-Man. May Parker works there helping with employment services, and Miles Morales also volunteers at the shelter.

After the bombing, as prisoners escape from Ryker's Island and the Raft, Miles helps Aunt May care for people sickened by Devil's Breath during this period. When Spider-Man arrives to recapture the prisoners and rescue his family, he becomes trapped inside a building set ablaze by the prisoners. According to the story, Miles Morales and Mary Jane Watson get Spider-Man out of the building and save his life.

While trying to find more medicine to treat the sick, he is bitten by a genetically modified Oscorp spider that escaped from Norman Osborn's secret laboratory. Eventually this bite grants him superhuman abilities like Spider-Man's, and he later decides to show this to Peter. Peter then reveals his secret identity to Miles Morales, and the duo's adventure begins.
