In brief
AI summaryNBA 2K22's MyCareer mode lets Center and Power Forward builds run the game and stretch the floor from the outside, with a Stretch Four kept under 6'9" and 190 lbs on current-gen.
On new-gen (PS5) in NBA 2K22, the shooting big should max Mid-Range Shot and threes, reach at least 25 badge points in Shooting, max Speed and Acceleration, and take Limitless Range as a Takeover.
The NBA 2K22 Glass Cleaner build uses Red (Defense) and Agility pie charts, roughly 17-1-6-30 badge potential (Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Defense), 6'8" and 190 lbs on current-gen.

NBA 2K22's MyCareer mode offers players a range of different options in terms of builds, and each position offers its own unique choices.
Traditionally, people tend to create fast, shot-oriented guards who can move the ball and shoot threes.
Best NBA 2K22 Builds for Center & Power Forward
However, there is an underrated, even vital position on the court. Centers and power forwards can carry a team to victory, especially if you know how to get the most out of the build.
What Are the Traits of a Center and Power Forward Who Plays From the Outside in NBA 2K22?
Sometimes playing Center or Power Forward means not just grabbing rebounds but running the game too. If that's the style you want to go for, these builds are just right for you.
Playing this style offers players a lot. Above all, you constantly pose a threat from the outside and mean a big problem for most of the other big men in the game. They will usually have to step out and leave the rim empty, which will help you a lot on drives inside. If you try what I'm saying with a Slasher SF on your team, you will understand much better what I mean.
Building these on current-gen and new-gen shares most of the same ideas, but here are some tips for getting the most out of the build on both setups.
NBA 2K22 Current-Gen Build
Position: Power Forward
Pie Charts: Depending on how much shooting you want, you can go full green (Shooting) or mostly green with a little red (Defense). The choice you make here can affect the name of the build at the end, especially if you do more Defense and less Finishing. After these two, choose the Agility-focused pie chart.
Stat Potential: There is definitely some flexibility here, but a good rule of thumb is to max out the most important categories first. Put stats into Shooting stats until you get above 20 badge upgrades, then max out Defense. With the remaining points, you can give more Finishing so you can also finish inside after drawing the bigs out to you, or choose Playmaking if you want to dribble and be more involved in assists.
Height, Weight, Wingspan: Think small for a Stretch Four. Your player shouldn't be taller than 6'9" or heavier than 190 lbs. Wingspan depends a lot on the player's confidence in his shooting. Reduce the wingspan if you are worried, but don't hesitate to go a little higher to get extra points toward Defense.
Takeover: Your options here may vary depending on some of the variables above, but Spot Up Shooter is at the top of the list of picks either way.
New-Generation Build: PS5
Position: Power Forward
Height, Weight, Wingspan: Downsizing again here. On next-gen you can actually go down to 6'7", so consider doing this for maximum Speed. Otherwise, weight comes down to how sensitive you are to having a high-level Interior Defense. Wingspan follows the same principle as shooting versus shot blocking. Generally speaking, keep it smaller on wingspan if you're thinking more offense, and longer if you're thinking more defense.
Stat Potential: New-gen players will know that there are many nuances to building stats, so the details of this will vary greatly from player to player. The key here is to max out the important shooting stats like Mid-Range Shot and three-pointers and leave plenty of extra points for the Physicals at the bottom of the creator. Make sure you can max out Speed and Acceleration. The goal is to have at least 25 badge points in Shooting, which is the key to this build.
Takeover: Limitless Range is a must here. The other takeover will depend on your playstyle and your goals for the player. Easy Blowbys may sit among the favorites.
Best Glass Cleaner Builds for Center & Power Forward
For those who want a more traditional role in the post positions, finishing at the rim and raising dust inside can be an option. These are generally known as Glass Cleaners in 2K.
A common misconception about these types of builds is that to be effective you need to be a 7'3" cave troll running around the court and only grabbing rebounds. But that isn't actually the case at all.
In 2K22 speed kills, and these builds use Speed and Acceleration to a player's advantage while keeping a seriously dominant paint beast low on both offense and defense.
NBA 2K22 Current-Gen Build
Position: Power Forward
Pie Charts: Red (Defense) dominant and Agility dominant are the two cores of this build. This gives you the foundations of being an absolute monster from the bottom of the paint down, while still keeping you fast.
Stat Potential: The ideal badge potential distribution is close to 17-1-6-30 (Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Defense). Finishing comes next, but above all you will need to focus heavily on Defense. Prioritize everything inside, and use the extras to fill out speed stats like Lateral Quickness and Perimeter Defense.
Height, Weight, Wingspan: Even though we are making a Glass Cleaner, there is no need to be tall and heavy for no reason. Since you won't take any shots other than a dunk or a layup, stay around 6'8" and 190 lbs with the maximum wingspan.
Takeover: Glass Cleaner and Rim Protector will probably be your options here, and both are excellent on their own. Lean toward Rim Protector for standout game blocks.
NBA 2K22 New-Generation Build
Position: Power Forward
Height, Weight, Wingspan: Staying right next to the 6'9" mark is perfectly fine here, and going for the maximum wingspan is definitely the right choice. Still, depending on how much you want to dominate the paint, there is room for the weight to play around a bit. Some like to hover around the 240 lb mark, but some (like me) like to go a bit smaller, so as little as possible is given to Speed.
Takeover: The two most important things here are maxing out all the Defense/Rebound and Physical attributes. From there, give some to Finishing as well, aside from Close Shot, and bring Passing up to 85 to unlock Gold Bullet Passer. From there, you can pick either Free Throw or Speed With Ball depending on which modes you like to play.
These builds are playable and give players plenty of room to experiment, depending largely on your playstyle and what kind of things you enjoy doing in MyCareer. For example, Rec players will definitely need a much higher Free Throw percentage than Park players, who will never take regular shots.
