What Are the New Features Coming to PS4 and PS5?
As part of the new features coming to PS4 and PS5, Sony introduced new ways to personalize group chat, Game Base and accessibility settings. The PS4 system software beta came with the community-requested Open Parties feature. This feature is also available in the PS5 beta as of now. With the new party chat option, you can have both open and closed parties. In addition, there is a voice chat reporting feature that provides visual indicators for determining who is speaking. You can now start SharePlay directly from the voice chat card. This means you no longer have to start Share Screen first.
On PS4, you have the option to adjust the volume of everyone in a party individually. On PS5, this feature is already available. Sony also made some basic improvements on the PS5 side. It has now named voice chats parties. You can view all your friends in the Friends section of the control menu. You can create a group directly in-game and add players to it. In the control center, a live broadcast icon now appears when someone in your group shares their screen. In addition, you can easily cancel friend requests with the decline button.
