PUBG Erangel Classic Map Arrives May 17!
The Erangel Classic map will reunite players with the original version of Erangel, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS's very first battleground, stirring up nostalgia for players who remember the early access days. Erangel Classic blends the original concepts and atmosphere from Erangel's initial release with current gameplay elements to deliver an experience true to those early days. To that end, iconic elements from the original Erangel map have been brought back for Erangel Classic.
Players who drop into Erangel Classic will see the benches with weapons laid across them return along the starting island. Weapon balance has also been tuned to capture the feel of the game's early days; recoil has been reduced on nearly every weapon. Players will also be able to find the Tommy Gun in Care Packages, just like in the old days.
In addition, foggy and rainy weather will return, along with graphics, the world map, and a minimap reminiscent of the original PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS experience.
Erangel Classic will be available in Normal Match for a limited time. The map will be playable on PC from May 14 to May 28, and on consoles from May 23 to June 6. During this period, Erangel Classic will replace the current Erangel map in Normal Match.
