PUBG Mobile Beta Adds Shoulder Perspective, Shrink Mode

PUBG Mobile, one of the most downloaded mobile games for years, keeps adding exciting new features through updates to its beta version. We've shared the details of these features below.

PUBG Mobile Update Details

PUBG Mobile, which offers players one of the best mobile gaming experiences, has made current changes to its control setup with the Beta Update. Shoulder Perspective and Shrink Mode were added to the PUBG Mobile Beta Update.

PUBG Mobile Shoulder Mode

In Shoulder Perspective, the camera angle aligns just behind the shoulder, letting players aim more precisely at their target. After a player taps the Shoulder Perspective button, the camera focuses in from behind the character's shoulder and zooms toward the target. This button costs the player some movement speed, but lets them fine-tune their crosshair much more accurately. It also narrows the camera's field of view. According to reports, the same option will also apply to the upcoming battle royale game PUBG: New State.

Unlike other updates, the Shoulder Perspective option was added to the global beta version before it was added to the game's China version. We're not sure whether this option has the potential to become players' new favorite, but it will be interesting to see how esports professionals handle Shoulder Perspective Mode.

PUBG Mobile Shrink Mode

Shrink Mode for the character was also added to the beta version. In the beta, players will find a lab inside the Radio Tower located near Gatka and north of Quarry. After entering the lab, players can use the equipment inside to shrink themselves down to the size of a bug. The purpose of this option is still unclear, but players will definitely enjoy flying around and hiding on the map like a bug, unnoticed by enemies.
