New Map: Taego
- Taego is available as the featured map.
- Playable in TPP and FPP.
- Solo and squad modes are available, including 1-person team modes.
- Duos are not available.
- Depending on the region, available modes and perspectives may vary.
- Playable with up to 100 players.
- There may be bots.
- Offers open-air gameplay.
- There is no red zone.
- Wildlife: Taego has two friendly bird species that react to player movement and gunshots.
- Taego is available in custom matches.
- Sandbox mode is available for PUBG partners.
Comeback BR
Comeback BR is a second-chance mechanic exclusive to Taego that gives players who die in the first Blue Zone phase a chance to return to the fight later in the match. Players who die in the first Blue Zone phase fight in the Comeback Arena, a location separate from the main Taego Battleground. Those who survive for a long time in the Comeback Arena are carried back by helicopter to the Taego map in phase 3 to continue their chicken dinner fight.
- Comeback BR is exclusive to Taego Squad matches.
- It is for players who die before the first Blue Zone phase ends, and there is a timer showing when Comeback BR begins.
- All eligible participants are sent to the Comeback Arena at the same time. To survive, they must fight other survivors and find some loot and items.
- There are no bots in Comeback BR.
- While fighting in the Comeback Arena, you must survive until the specified timer and continue fighting for the chicken dinner. As a result, you will be carried back by helicopter to the Taego map with all your items.
- When you return to the fight, health and boost levels are reset, while your kills and stats are still recorded.
Self AED
Similar to Comeback BR, Self AED is another second-chance mechanic exclusive to Taego and gives players another opportunity to stay in the fight. Self AED is a loot item, usable in Solo and Squad matches, that lets players revive themselves when they are DBNO without needing a teammate.
- You must press the interact button to activate self-revive.
- Once Self AED starts, it cannot be canceled.
- It cannot be used while being revived by another teammate.
- Squads: Self AED can be used even if your entire squad is DBNO. A teammate with a Self AED prevents your squad from being eliminated immediately.
- This gives you a chance to revive yourself and then revive your teammates.
- If the entire squad remains DBNO, you are eliminated when all players with a Self AED are killed.
- Solo: Having your own AED lets you go DBNO instead of being killed instantly.
New Weapons
K2
The K2 is a 5.56 mm assault rifle that became popular worldwide in the 80s and 90s, the era in which Taego was set. It offers single, burst or full-auto fire for versatility in combat. It can only be used on Taego, in normal and custom matches.
