When Will the Resident Evil Village Demo Come Out?

A week after the first demo's release date (April 24), PlayStation owners will get an extra eight-hour window, and this time they'll be able to play another 30-minute demo session called the Castle demo. PlayStation owners can pre-load the demos if they want, so they can start playing as soon as each demo releases.

After May 1, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S | X, Xbox One, Stadia, and Steam users will also be able to play the larger demo covering both the Village and Castle areas. You'll get a total of one hour of playtime across both areas, and you can split your time between them however you like. You'll be able to use that one-hour demo within a 24-hour window.

What's in the New Resident Evil Village Trailer?

The Resident Evil Showcase also gave a number of other details about what we can expect from Resident Evil Village, including the new trailer you can watch above. This new look at the game gives us some important insight into the actual Village and the other characters who live there. Some people whose names we don't know seem to want to fight against the game's initially supernatural-seeming villains, like our tall vampire, Lady Dimitrescu, and her brother. It also looks like Ethan will draw special interest from the vampires in the game, and he's asking more cryptic questions about Chris Redfield.

When Will Resident Evil: The Mercenaries Come Out?

Capcom also announced another new note about Resident Evil Village during the showcase: the return of the series' arcade shooter mode, The Mercenaries, will launch on May 7 and will be included with Village.
