Sims 4's new update has been rolled out to players! Sims 4 developers announced they'll release The Sims 4 Crystal Creations Stuff Pack in a few days. The latest update addresses some issues reported by the community to make the game even better.

Sims 4 Latest Update 2024: Bug Fixes

In this update, you'll see a new button in the top right corner of your screen.

• Decorated with a shopping basket, this button has a range of uses, from sharing pack deals and sale info to recommending packs that might interest you. You can access all of this without leaving the comfort of your Sims' homes.

Sims 4

• Sims should now indicate whether something is preventing them from finishing cooking.
• Reward traits obtained through the Reward Store will no longer be allowed to be purchased more than once.
• Some Scenario tool tooltips were updated for clarity.
• A critical fix was made for mod creators: Mods sometimes invoke TunableFactory at runtime after tuning has loaded. This causes a None object error in cases where dynamically creating tuning at runtime (outside of a tuning reload) isn't expected, due to the assumption that everything happens during the initial tuning load. This change ensures the "register_for_cleanup" method does nothing once cleanup has already occurred. If it happens after tuning load, the created tuning factory and the object it's set on will now naturally be garbage collected once no longer needed and referenced.

Console

• It's once again possible to change wall tile placement types on controllers.
• Fixed a crashing issue on Xbox with stability improvements.

Gallery Server

• Reported comments should no longer reappear after restarting The Sims 4 client.
• Settings in the profanity filter controls were adjusted.

Cats & Dogs

• Descriptions for several cat and dog breeds were updated.

Seasons

• An adjustment was made for Sims who couldn't attend Holiday Events.
• Sims can now fish in cold windy and cloudy windy weather.

Get Famous

• You can now safely use the "Off the Grid" lot trait without it affecting NPC Sims spawning to visit community lots.

Eco Lifestyle

• Refrigerators using Off the Grid ice will no longer consume power.

For Rent

• Rental Income: Additional information was added to various related UI screens to more clearly communicate how rent from all owned units is collected by the end of the week, along with any taxes or bills owed.
• Save Error Fixes: Several combined fixes aim to resolve existing saves and prevent this error from occurring in future saves. References in the business manager to regions no longer present in the game data have been fixed; this was previously triggering a save failure exception when trying to save from a location that was formerly a rental residential lot.
• You should no longer encounter situations where you can get stuck on Residential Rental lot types.
• The Tomarang world map screen will load without Last Exception errors.
• Reading Thi Linh's secret text message will now be a bit easier.
• Sims can now successfully complete the "Socialize With Close Sims" want after interacting with Family and Friends.

Dream Home Decorator

• Sims will no longer get stuck on clients' lots after completing a home decorating job.

Home Chef Hustle

• Sims will no longer independently eat pre-prepared ingredients while eating leftovers.
• The frequency of fires occurring while cooking with the ChowBella Portable Pizza Oven and ChowBella Heart Waffle Maker has been adjusted.
• The Market Magnate's and Appliance Wiz's Aspirations are now counted toward the Over-Achiever achievement.
• Sims who struggle to make dough and lactose-free dough on the Stand Mixer will now play the appropriate animation.

Goth Galore

• Female Sims' eyes will no longer grow larger when wearing the Goth Hooded Top from the kit.
• With this update, your Sims' eyes will return to their normal size.
