A final decision has now been made regarding sinatraa, who made headlines last March over sexual harassment allegations from his ex-girlfriend. Riot Games issued a statement on the matter through its official website, laying out the penalty given to the player.

sinatraa, who was once a professional Overwatch player before continuing his career in Valorant, made headlines last March over the sexual harassment allegations. The American player, who was found to have sexually harassed his ex-girlfriend over the 9 months they were together, faced a fairly harsh backlash. While it was unclear whether Riot Games would get involved, it was announced shortly after that an investigation had been opened. With the statement made through the official website on May 17, the penalty given to the star player was made clear.

sinatraa Given a 6-Month Suspension!

According to the detailed statement from Riot Games, Jay "Sinatraa" Won, who most recently played for Sentinels, was given a 6-month suspension for the sexual harassment he committed against his ex-girlfriend. Alex Francois, head of VALORANT Competitive Operations, also said in a statement, "Allegations of sexual assault are some of the most serious that can be made against an individual, and the Competitive Operations team treats all such allegations with the seriousness they deserve."

Riot Games also stated that sinatraa gave false statements twice during the investigation and did not provide the cooperation expected of a professional VALORANT esports player.

sinatraa's suspension will end as of September 10, 2021, after which he will be able to compete in tournaments with his team. However, it's worth noting that the player must complete professional conduct training before he can take part in official tournaments.
