Next up for Steam is the Spring Sale. So, when will the Steam Spring Sale 2023 start? Here's a quick rundown on the new sales.

When Is the Steam Spring Sale 2023?

Steam sales happen on a pretty regular rhythm throughout the year, which makes it fairly easy to predict the dates. The seasonal sales in Summer, Autumn, and Winter usually offer the widest and deepest discounts, and to round out the seasonal rotation, a Spring Sale replaces the Lunar New Year Sale. Between the seasonal sales, there are genre-specific "Fests" that offer discounts on certain game categories. The next big seasonal sale is the Spring Sale, running from March 16 to March 23, 2023. It'll replace the currently running Mystery Fest discounts.

When Do Steam Sales Happen?

Steam now runs sales almost every month of the year, but the seasonal sales most people look forward to are the Summer Sale and Winter Sale, and to a lesser extent the Halloween Sale and Black Friday (Autumn) Sale. We tend to see the biggest discounts during the Summer and Winter sales, with the Summer Sale offering the most standout selection. Because the Autumn and Winter sales come right after the fall release season, they tend to have fewer big, new games with steep discounts. We can expect big discounts on relatively new games by the following summer. Still, it's worth not completely overlooking the smaller, genre-themed sales throughout the year. They may not offer discounts as deep or as wide-ranging as the seasonal sales. But if you're excited about a game from a featured genre, it's worth waiting for upcoming sales!
