Taking a screenshot works slightly differently depending on your iPad model.

  • Make sure whatever you want to capture is displayed the way you want it on your iPad.
  • Press the top button and one of the volume buttons at the same time.
  • Your iPad screen will flash briefly, and a small thumbnail preview of your screenshot will appear in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
  • After a few seconds, the thumbnail preview of the screenshot will disappear, or you can swipe it off the edge of the screen to dismiss it manually. Either way, the image will automatically be saved to your Photos app.
