In the company's latest earnings call, Take-Two stated they're aiming for perfection rather than rushing the highly anticipated game to market.

During the call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick talked about the ongoing success of the Grand Theft Auto series and said the excitement surrounding the release of the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer had a positive effect on the company. Adding some statistics about the trailer's record-breaking release, Zelnick said, "The Grand Theft Auto franchise continues to build excitement following Rockstar's announcement and release of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI."

In the Q&A portion of the call, Zelnick elaborated on the series' popularity, noting that "everything related to GTA is generating even more excitement." When asked whether GTA 6 would be good compared to what the company saw at GTA 5's 2013 launch, Zelnick said, "Our expectation is that it will be much, much higher."

Responding to a question about how GTA 6's release timing is being decided, Zelnick explained that they're prioritizing perfection over rushing the game to market. "We're looking for excellence. When we feel we've creatively optimized it, that's when it's time to release it," Strauss Zelnick commented, also confirming the game won't be releasing right away, adding, "There's potentially a natural tension between bringing something to market and creating something perfect. But this company errs on the side of excellence."

Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently planned to release in 2025.
