Hyper Roll is a new game mode in Teamfight Tactics (TFT). It is a shorter and leaner version of the standard TFT we know and love. A Hyper Roll game lasts almost 10-15 minutes. Maybe even shorter, who knows! If managing your gold is a hassle for you and you do not have time for a normal game, you should jump into Hyper Roll mode.
What Is Teamfight Tactics Set 5 Hyper Roll Mode?
Hyper Roll has a simpler economy that lets you focus on building the best team you can and rerolling your shop to do so. At every stage, you focus on keeping your board as strong as possible. Losing, especially later in the game, gets you eliminated quickly. While standard TFT demands patience and precision, Hyper Roll mode, as its name suggests, has a constant dice-rolling mechanic.
How Does Hyper Roll Mode Work?
TFT: Hyper Roll has a lot in common with standard TFT, but a few rule changes mean you need to make adjustments, especially in your champion picks and team building. The new rules for Hyper Roll are:
Experience and Income
You cannot buy XP. In standard TFT, you automatically gain some XP every round, and you can spend 4 gold to buy more as often as you like. In Hyper Roll, you level up at the start of each stage. This way, every player in a Hyper Roll game is always at the same level as the other players.
- You get two gold per win instead of one. Only winning a round earns you extra gold.
- Win and loss streaks do not matter. They do not earn extra gold.
- There is no interest income. Saving gold does not earn you extra gold. Still, your base income in Hyper Roll is slightly higher than in standard TFT.
Health and Damage
- Players start the game with 20 Health.
- The damage amount per round is fixed. Unlike standard TFT, surviving champions do not deal extra damage.
- In the first 4 stages of Hyper Roll, each loss costs 2 Health. In Stages 5-7 it is 4 Health From Stage 8 onward, it is set at 6 Health.
- When you have 1 Health left before being eliminated, you will see a visual effect on your Little Legend's health bar indicating this.
Carousel - Shared Round
- There is only one shared carousel round. Items come from the newly added Armory in TFT.
- The Armory appears on screen at the start of Stages 4 to 6 and asks you to choose between one of two item components.

Fast Climb - Rank System
- When you play Hyper Roll, you receive a rating that corresponds to your team building and rerolling skill.
- Everyone starts in the Gray tier, but you can progress through the Green, Blue and Purple tiers on the road to the top of Hyper Roll: Hyper Tier.
- The Hyper Roll ranked system is slightly different from a standard Riot Ranked system.
- You get Ranked rewards based on the highest rank you reach in each stage.
Quests and Balance
- In addition to standard TFT, you can complete quests for your Reckoning Pass in Hyper Roll for full XP.
- You only get 50 base XP for each Hyper Roll match you play.
