TFT Set 7.5 New Champions and Their Traits
Like every Mid-Set update, TFT Set 7.5 brings plenty of new champions and traits. Major changes include a cap on the number of Dragons you can play on a board (without needing Dragon Horde or Alliance), as well as two new verticals in Lagoon and Darkflight. Five new Dragons will join the roster, including two Tier 3 dragons in Nomsy and Zippy. The cost of Tier 4 and 5 dragons will drop to seven and eight gold respectively. Nilah will debut this set as a Lagoon Assassin. Bel'Veth and Armordillo, meanwhile, will be waiting for their first appearance in Auto Battler.
1-Cost Champions
Ezreal (Storm's Fury, Rapidfire)
Ezreal fires an energy bolt at his target. The first enemy hit takes magic damage, and Ezreal gains bonus attack speed that stacks up to five times.
Karma (Jade, Dragonmancer)
Karma sends a burst of energy at her target, dealing magic damage in a small area around the first enemy hit.
Leona (Mirage, Guardian)
Leona forms a barrier around herself, reducing all incoming damage for a total of four seconds.
Malphite (Lagoon, Bruiser)
Malphite shields himself for a total of five seconds. The shield scales with his maximum health percentage.
Nasus (Scalescorn, Guardian)
Nasus is surrounded by light for six seconds and gains up to a maximum of 350/550/750 health. Additionally, every second Nasus is surrounded by light, he deals magic damage to enemies on both sides.
Nidalee (Astral, Shapeshifter)
Nidalee transforms into a cougar for the rest of combat, reducing her attack range to one. When she transforms, Nidalee gains bonus movement speed and attack speed. Every third attack while in cougar form knocks back her target for physical damage equal to 225% of Nidalee's attack damage.
Sejuani (Guild, Cavalry)
Sejuani strikes all enemies in a cone with her mace for magic damage. She quickly attacks again, repeating the damage to her target and the enemy directly behind them, and stunning them for 1.5/1.8/2 seconds.
Senna (Ragewing, Cannoneer)
Senna sends a dark mist at the farthest opponent, hitting the first opponent she reaches and dealing 200/240/300% attack damage as physical damage in a small area. Additional magic damage is applied to the hit target.
Sett (Ragewing, Dragonmancer)
After using Knuckle Down, Sett gains armor and magic resist for a total of four seconds. Every other punch deals 150/154/160% of his attack damage as physical damage.
Skarner (Astral, Bruiser)
Skarner shields himself for eight seconds and gains attack speed for as long as the shield holds.
Taliyah (Lagoon, Mage)
Taliyah hurls three sea stones at her target, dealing damage to the first opponent hit.
Vladimir (Astral, Mage)
Vladimir deals magic damage to his target and heals himself.
Wukong (Jade, Warrior)
Wukong strikes his target with his staff, dealing 160/179/200% of his attack damage as physical damage. The strike also stuns the target for 1/1.2/1.5 seconds.
2-Cost Champions
Aphelios (Darkflight, Cannoneer)
Aphelios uses the Infernum Cannon to fire arrows in a cone toward his target, dealing 259/270/279% attack damage as physical damage to the first opponent hit. Enemies can only take damage from one bolt. Aphelios then uses the Gravitum Cannon to stun all hit opponents for 1/1.5/2 seconds.
Braum (Cavalry, Guardian)
Braum raises his shield for four seconds, reducing the damage he takes from that direction on the board.
Gnar (Jade, Shapeshifter)
Gnar transforms into Mega Form, leaps to his target, and knocks nearby opponents into the air for one second. Gnar also gains attack damage and armor. However, his attack range drops to one.
Jax (Jade, Glimmering Scale, Bruiser)
Jax parries all incoming attacks for two seconds. Then his two-cost strikes all nearby enemies, dealing magic damage and stunning them for 1/1.25/1.5 seconds.
Kai'Sa (Lagoon, Dragonmancer)
Kai'Sa fires four missiles split between her target and two other targets within her attack range. Each cast fires two additional missiles up to a maximum of 12. Once the maximum number of missiles is reached, each deals 10% more damage.
Lillia (Scalescorn, Cavalier, Mage)
Lillia strikes a small area around her target's location, dealing magic damage to all opponents hit, with additional damage to the opponent at the center of the blast.
Lux (Astral, Mage)
Lux fires at the farthest opponent, dealing magic damage to the first opponent hit and magic damage to all other opponents hit.
Qiyana (Storm's Fury, Assassin)
Qiyana leaps and then dashes toward her target, dealing magic damage in a short line and disarming hit opponents for 1.5/1.8/2 seconds.
Rell (Darkflight, Cavalier)
Rell forms a bond between herself and the teammate with the lowest health percentage, dealing magic damage to all enemies between herself and her bonded teammate. While bonded, Rell also grants herself and her ally 50/70/100% of Rell's armor and magic resist for a total of four seconds.
Twitch (Guild, Rapidfire)
Twitch throws an exploding vial at a target, dealing 120% attack damage as physical damage. All enemies hit in the area have their armor reduced by 40% for five seconds.
Yone (Mirage, Warrior)
Yone has a passive that alternates between his normal attacks dealing additional magic damage and dealing 30/34/40% of his attack damage as additional physical damage.
Zac (Lagoon, Guardian)
Zac explodes toward enemies within two Hexes, dealing magic damage equal to a percentage of their maximum health while healing himself.
Zyra (Whispers, Summoner)
Zyra summons vines through Grasping Spines, targeting wherever there are the most enemies in a row, dealing magic damage and stunning them for 1/1.2/1.5 seconds.
3-Cost Champions
Diana (Cavalry, Assassin)
Diana shields herself from damage for six seconds and summons 5/6/7 orbs around her. The orbs explode to deal magic damage when they hit an enemy. When the last orb explodes, Diana's shield is refreshed.
Heimerdinger (Mage)
Heimerdinger throws an egg at the enemy with the highest health percentage, dealing magic damage. The egg also stuns enemies for 0.5 seconds.
Lee Sin (Storm's Fury, Dragonmancer)
Lee Sin kicks his target, stunning them for 1.5 seconds and dealing magic damage in a small area around the first enemy hit. All enemies hit by the initial target and the kicked target take magic damage.
Lulu (Evoker)
Lulu enchants the two units closest to her. Enchanted allies gain bonus attack speed for five seconds. Enchanted enemies are stunned for one second and transformed, taking 20% more damage. If there are fewer than three units nearby, Lulu enchants herself.
Nomsy (Prodigy, Dragon, random trait)
Nomsy is a Tier 3 dragon that costs six gold to purchase from the shop. Every game, Nomsy randomly gains a third trait of either Evoker, Mage, or Cannoneer. Once Nomsy enters play, it summons an old Trainer unit from Set Seven onto the battlefield. If the random trait is Cannoneer, players get a Tristana. If it's Mage, a Heimerdinger appears, and when the trait is Evoker, players get a Lulu.
Nomsy continues to cast Fireball, which explodes on impact and deals magic damage to all enemies in a Hex, bouncing an additional Fireball to nearby enemies that deals 50/60/69% of the damage.
Nunu (Mirage, Knight)
Nunu and Willump bite their target, dealing magic damage in a Consume effect. If Willump's target has less health than before the bite, it deals an additional 33% damage and is dealt as true damage.
Olaf (Cavalry, Bruiser, Warrior)
Olaf's ability, Recklessness, has a passive and an active.
- Passive: Olaf gains five attack damage (10 in Hyper Roll) every time he kills.
- Active: Olaf deals physical damage to the target he hits and gains attack speed for six seconds. If his health is below 50%, his attack speed doubles.
Rakan (Ragewing, Guardian, Mystic)
Rakan dashes to the farthest opponent within his attack range, disabling all units he passes through for 1.2/1.5/2 seconds while taunting his target. After dashing, Rakan raises a shield for four seconds and heals himself, and his attacks grant Rakan an additional health shield.
Rengar (Darkflight, Assassin)
As an Assassin, Rengar leaps toward the enemy with the lowest armor, dealing 270/280/290% of his attack damage as physical damage and gaining attack speed for one second.
Seraphine (Lagoon, Evoker, Mystic)
Seraphine grants allies within two Hexes a shield and magic damage on their attacks for a total of five seconds.
Sylas (Whispers, Mage, Bruiser)
Sylas swings his chains through Petricite Burst, dealing magic damage to hit opponents and shielding himself for six seconds. If Sylas is already shielded, he instead strikes a wider area with his chains, dealing magic damage to all hit enemies and applying Mana-Reave, increasing the cost of their next ability by 35%.
Tristana (Cannoneer)
Tristana fires an explosive charge, prioritizing unshielded targets closest to her. After one second, it explodes, dealing 139/170/209% of her attack damage as physical damage to nearby opponents and additional magic damage to the target.
Varus (Astral, Rapidfire)
Varus hurls a cosmic bolt at a target, hitting the first opponent it reaches. The impact deals 300% attack damage as physical damage and stuns them for 1.5/1.8/2 seconds. It then spreads to three nearby opponents, dealing magic damage and stunning them for 1.5/1.8/2 seconds.
Volibear (Glimmering Scale, Dragonmancer)
Volibear enters a rage mode with Relentless Storm, gaining bonus health. For the rest of combat, every third attack from Volibear deals additional magic damage to the target and additional magic damage to up to four nearby opponents.
Zeri (Lagoon, Cannoneer)
Zeri fires a Watershock Laser at the closest enemy within two Hexes. If there is no enemy within two Hexes, Zeri fires at the enemy closest to the center of the board. On impact, the shot explodes, dealing 110/114/120% attack damage as physical damage. It also creates a laser that deals magic damage to all enemies hit behind the target.
Zippy (Guild, Dragon)
Zippy is a new TFT Set 7.5 Tier 3 dragon that costs six gold to purchase from the shop. After performing a Tumble Attack, Zippy shields itself for three seconds and rolls toward the enemy with the highest health percentage, dealing 350/400/450% attack damage as physical damage. Zippy's attacks knock enemies back slightly.
4-Cost Champions
Daeja (Mirage, Dragon)
Daeja is a Tier 4 dragon that costs seven gold to purchase from the shop. The dragon is also the primary champion of the Mirage trait, which has a passive and an active ability.
- Passive: Attacks fire three volleys that deal additional magic damage and reduce the target's magic resist by five.
- Active: Daeja sends out a Wind Burst that deals magic damage to the largest group of enemies.
Graves (Storm's Fury, Cannoneer)
Graves's ability, Quickdraw, has a passive and an active.
- Passive: Four rounds spread out in a cone in front of Graves, each hitting the first opponent for 80/85/300% of his attack damage.
- Active: Graves dashes to his target and quickly fires two shots. The ability also grants Graves armor and magic resist for a total of four seconds.
Hecarim (Ragewing, Cavalry)
Hecarim summons spectral riders that charge at his target, dealing magic damage in Shadow Charge. The ability also stuns enemies for 1.5/2/8 seconds.
Idas (Glimmering Scale, Dragon, Guardian)
Idas is a Tier 4 dragon that costs seven gold to purchase from the shop. Idas hardens its scales for two seconds, reducing damage taken by 30/50/300%. Idas then roars, healing itself while shielding other allies for five seconds.
The shield also grants 30% attack speed for as long as it holds.
Jayce (Guild, Shapeshifter)
Jayce starts as a ranged unit and later transforms into his melee form. After transforming, Jayce leaps into the air, gaining 250/350/800 and an additional 100 health shield per nearby enemy for three seconds. He then slams down around his target, dealing magic damage and knocking nearby opponents into the air for 1.5 seconds.
Nilah (Lagoon, Assassin)
Nilah is the new Assassin in TFT Set 7.5. She strikes her targets with her whip. When Nilah hits a target, she dashes through them, dealing 185/225/400% attack damage as physical damage. If Nilah damages a shielded champion, she steals 80/100/300% of the damage dealt to it. If the target is killed, Nilah instantly recasts Slipstream.
Pantheon (Whispers, Warrior)
Pantheon's ability, Aegis Assault, is both active and passive.
- Passive: Pantheon takes 20/25/40% less damage
- Active: Pantheon raises his shield for two seconds, doubling the effectiveness of his passive, and deals 300% of his attack damage as physical damage to targets in front of him. Enemies hit are healed for 50% less for three seconds.
Shi Oh Yu (Jade, Mystic, Dragon)
Shi Oh Yu is a Tier 4 dragon that costs seven gold in the shop. The dragon's ability is the same as in Set Seven. Shi Oh Yu enters the Jade Stance, gaining 20/25/50% damage reduction, immunity to crowd control, and empowers its next three attacks with special effects that deal 250/275/1000% attack damage as physical damage.
- First attack: Deals physical damage and stuns the target for 1.25 seconds.
- Second attack: Deals true damage.
- Third attack: Ends the stance, dealing physical damage to all enemies in a line and knocking them into the air for one second.
Sohm (Lagoon, Mage, Dragon)
After using Tideblossom, Sohm sends a tide at an unmarked target and marks it with a Tideblossom. This deals magic damage to all enemies the tide hits along the way. Tideblossoms transfer to a nearby target if the enemy target marked with it dies.
After three casts, Sohm summons a whirlpool beneath each Tideblossom, dealing magic damage to all enemies in the area.
Swain, Dragon Tyrant (Darkflight, Dragon)
No longer bound to a human form, Swain is a Tier 4 dragon that costs seven gold in the shop. Swain launches eight dragon whelps at nearby enemies, each dealing magic damage to their target. They then return to Swain, healing him for nine percent of his missing health.
Sy'fen (Whispers, Mage, Bruiser)
Sy'fen is a Tier 4 dragon that costs seven gold to purchase from the shop.
Sy'fen strikes the farthest opponent within two Hexes, dealing 150/170/450% attack damage as physical damage and knocking into the air any opponents it passes through. After charging, Sy'fen bites an enemy, dealing 500/600/3000% attack damage as physical damage and ignoring 50% of the target's armor.
Xayah (Ragewing, Rapidfire)
For a total of four seconds, Xayah throws her feathers at 2/2/4 enemies near her target. The feathers remain behind her targets. At the end of this duration, Xayah recalls her feathers. Each feather deals 18% attack damage as physical damage per feather to enemies hit.
5-Cost Champions
Ao Shin (Storm's Fury, Dragon)
Ao Shin is a Tier 5 dragon that costs eight gold to purchase from the shop. After using Lightning Rain, Ao Shin hurls 20 bolts of lightning at random enemies. Each strike deals magic damage and reduces the target enemy's mana.
Aurelion Sol (Astral, Evoker, Dragon)
Aurelion Sol is a Tier 5 dragon that costs eight gold to purchase from the shop. The dragon summons an unstable black hole beneath a random enemy. After two seconds, it explodes, dealing damage to all enemies in the area and increasing the damage they take by 20% for 10 seconds. Black holes formed after 18 seconds deal 15% more damage.
Bard (Guild, Mystic, Bard)
Bard sends a burst of spell energy at the largest group of enemies, stunning them for 1.25/2/15 seconds and causing them to take 15/20/9999% more damage while stunned. A three-star Bard stuns and damages the entire board.
Shyvana (Ragewing, Shapeshifter, Dragon)
After being reworked in Set Seven, Shyvana's ability remains the same in Set 7.5. She is a Tier 5 dragon that costs eight gold to purchase from the shop.
Shyvana transforms into a dragon and immediately casts Flame Breath, which will track her movement. She then becomes untargetable and immune to crowd control effects before dive-bombing the largest group of enemies, stunning them for 1.5 seconds while dealing 100/175/500 magic damage. Shyvana then breathes fire in a cone for 3.5 seconds, dealing sustained magic damage.
Soraka (Jade, Star Caller)
Soraka's ability, Starfall, is both passive and active.

Yasuo shields himself for 180/240/2500 for 2/2/20 seconds and dashes through his target, dealing 150/180/3000% attack damage as physical damage to nearby enemies.
Every third cast, his strike deals 250% attack damage scaling, hits a wider area, and knocks enemies into the air for 1.5 seconds. If Yasuo strikes the last surviving opponent, he repeatedly slashes them until they die.
Zoe (Glimmering Scale, Spell Thief, Mage)
Zoe has no ability of her own. As a spell thief, she'll borrow abilities from other dimensions during combat and use them as if they were her own. Daisy spawns at the target's location, and the Janna Tornado stun lasts 1.25 seconds.
TFT Set 7.5 System Changes
The Treasure Dragon system was also overhauled as part of TFT Set 7.5, giving players more choices. Instead of the same shops every game, Order and Chaos Treasure Dragons will diversify the loot. The Order Treasure Dragon will always contain a Radiant item whenever you reroll the shop.
