There are several weapons you can make to fight Vardoran's various creatures in V Rising. Even if you start the game with a basic set of axes, a mace and a sword, you can later craft weapons that serve your own purpose. But of course, as in every game, you need to have reached a certain level to craft these weapons. It can also be a bit hard to tell which weapons are best for combat and which are better suited to hunting and gathering, so in our V Rising weapon guide we will talk about both the weapons in the game and how they are used. What are the best weapons in V Rising?
V Rising Weapon Guide! Best Weapons 2022
There are seven craftable weapons in total in the game. At the start of the game you can only access four of them, while the other three unlock after defeating a few bosses and advancing north. Every weapon can be used in combat, and the weapons have distinguishing features.
Sword
The Sword is the first weapon you will craft in V Rising. Since it gives a 25% damage increase against plant life, its specialty is cutting vegetation. However, thanks to the abilities it gains after moving to its copper form, it is known as one of the best weapons in the game. After crafting the copper sword, you gain access to a secondary attack. After upgrading to an iron sword, you gain an additional attack. These attacks are quite good for fighting monsters. One is Whirlwind, which spins you around and deals 35% damage to enemies, and the second attack is called Shockwave, which lets you send a wave of force forward and deal 70% damage. Both of these attacks turn the sword into one of the versatile weapons in V Rising.
Mace
If you are looking for a hard-hitting, tank-like weapon, this weapon will help you. With a 25% damage increase to mining, it is known as the only option for obtaining minerals such as copper and iron. It also has a few heavy-hitting attacks that can deal tons of damage in regular fights. Both of the Mace's attacks deal area damage, and so it is a great weapon for clearing rooms full of enemies.
Axes
Two-handed axes are used to chop trees in V Rising. The plus is that you have two weapons in your hands, because you gain some flexibility when fighting enemies. Axes are not as fast as the sword but not as slow as the mace. The Frenzy attack lets you deal 100% damage in one hit, but also increases your movement and attack speed. The X-Strike attack throws both axes at a target in an "x" shape and can deal up to 170% damage if you hit enemies. Hitting enemies also lets you slow them and heal.
Spear
The Spear is the only weapon dedicated to killing monsters. It has a 25% damage increase. But as the game progresses, its attacks become overwhelming. The Spear has attacks that focus on a small area by thrusting the weapon forward. Thanks to the Harpoon ability, it can deal 70% damage. If you are stuck under a shadow and an enemy is waiting in the sun, using the harpoon can save your life.
Slasher
V Rising's dagger-type weapon. The Slasher has no perks and deals low damage, but it is very fast in its attacks. The Slasher's secondary attack, Camouflage, increases your movement by 25% for six seconds when activated. Your next attack also deals 80% damage and incapacitates the target for three seconds. It wouldn't be wrong to say it is an extremely good choice if you are fighting a high-level enemy.
Reaper
Like the Mace, the Reaper hits harder than most other attacks in V Rising but has slower attacks. Like the Slasher, it has no perks, so it isn't as useful as the Sword. The Tendon Swing attack deals 125% area-of-effect damage to nearby enemies and also knocks them back for two seconds. Its other attack, Howling Reaper, throws an object that deals 20% damage per hit and slows enemies for almost two seconds.
Crossbow
The last weapon in the game is the Crossbow. It is the only ranged weapon in the game apart from vampire attacks. If you really want to deal ranged damage, the Crossbow is quite ideal. Its attacks don't require much skill or finesse. Bolt Rain is its first attack, which fires five bolts into the air to rain down on enemies below. Each bolt deals 40% damage to enemies. The other attack is Snapshot, which fires a quick arrow that deals 75% damage.
