How Do You Make a Fishing Rod and Bait in Valheim?

Unfortunately, you can't craft a fishing rod in Valheim. You'll need to buy one from the game's trader, Haldor. Once you've bought a fishing rod and bait from Haldor, you can start fishing. A fishing rod from Haldor costs 350 coins, and 50 bait costs 10 coins.

How Do You Catch Fish in Valheim?

In Valheim, fish are found in rivers and the ocean. When you get close to a river or the ocean, attach bait to your fishing rod and hold down your mouse's left button to cast your line. When a fish hits the bobber, hold down the left button and wait for the fish to be reeled in toward shore. One thing to watch out for is keeping your stamina high while fishing, since your character will tire the longer you hold the left button, and the fish will get away if your stamina runs out.
