VALORANT 9.05 Patch Notes!
Agent Updates
VALORANT 9.05 Patch Notes: Omen
- Omen's voice lines were updated. Lines were added for his interactions with Viper, Clove, Iso, and Vyse.
VALORANT 9.05 Patch Notes: Chamber
- Rendezvous: Teleport range increased: 13 meters >>> 18 meters
- Chamber needed a small boost to use Rendezvous to fight across more of the map. Increasing the range of the Rendezvous teleporter will give Chamber a strategic edge and make it easier for him to play more aggressively and attack from unexpected angles.
9.05 Patch Notes: Astra
- Star count increased: 4 >>> 5
- After Patch 7.04, which weakened Gravity Well but buffed Nova Pulse and Cosmic Divide, Astra started to struggle to compete with other Controllers. With these changes, Astra, who had to choose between her Controller-focused abilities and her other abilities, can now use her other abilities throughout the round without giving up her smokes.
9.05 Patch Notes: Stim Behavior
- All buffs that increase fire rate were updated to be consistent with default fire-rate recoil. Thanks to this change, players with the Stim effect will be able to more effectively use the muscle memory they've built up without the effect. This change doesn't affect Stim's bullet-spread reduction and only adjusts recoil.
9.05 Patch Notes: Player Behavior Change
- Existing Competitive and Premier restrictions were updated to cover all team-based game modes. This means players penalized for negative behavior will now be restricted across every team-based game mode.
9.05 Patch Notes: Weapon Updates
Ares
- Crouch bonus increased back to 40% from the standard 25%.
- You'll now get the same benefit from this weapon's crouch bonus as you would with the Odin.
- Headshot multiplier increased: 2.4 >>> 2.5
- With this change, you'll be able to take down enemies within 30 meters with the Ares using two headshots. Previously, this dealt 144 damage.
9.05 Patch Notes: Bug Fixes
Client
- Fixed an issue causing incorrect results when certain special characters in Polish, Russian, and Japanese were entered into the search bar on the sprays screen of the Collection page.
Maps
- Abyss
- Fixed a ledge that could be climbed outside the map boundaries.
- Lotus
- Made minor visual adjustments across the map.
- Icebox
- Fixed a gap that allowed players to shoot through the door frame from Boiler toward A Pipe.
- Sunset
- Fixed a gap on the roof above B Boba.
- The box at Mid Top now properly displays bullet decals when hit.
