It has been nearly 1.5 years since we started playing VALORANT . But we players still experience the Black Screen problem. When we log in to VALORANT, whether or not we press any key on the start screen, we can get the Black Screen error. Today we will try to share two different ways to fix this error, and we hope they work for you.

Fix With In-Game Settings

Our first solution is done by adjusting the settings in the game. First, after opening VALORANT, the moment it shows a black screen, we need to hold the "ALT" key and press "ENTER". This puts VALORANT in windowed mode. After that, we go to "SETTINGS" in the game and open "VIDEO SETTINGS." In this section we set "Display Mode" to Windowed Fullscreen and click "APPLY." By doing this we solve the problem and also greatly reduce the chance of it happening again.

Fix With Game Files in Windows

In this solution, first type "%appdata%" into the Windows search on the desktop. In the folder window that appears, click "AppData". Then open the "LOCAL", "RIOTGAMES" and "RIOT CLIENT" folders in that order. Then, when you open the "DATA" folder inside the "RIOT CLIENT" folder, delete the "Riot Client Private Setting" file inside it. After deleting the file, when we log in with a different account, the problem is gone. After logging in to a different account, you can log out of that account and log in to your main account. We wish everyone enjoyable and error-free games...
