VALORANT Omen Abilities 2023

In general, Omen's abilities revolve around being able to support his team's strategy while keeping the enemy on edge by constantly guessing where the shadowy figure is.

C Ability — Shrouded Step (150 Credits): EQUIP a shadow walk ability and view the range indicator. FIRE, after a short delay, to teleport to the marked location. Q Ability — Paranoia (300 Credits): FIRE an instant, forward-moving shadow projectile. It briefly restricts the vision of anyone it touches. This projectile can travel directly through walls. E Ability — Dark Cover (150 Credits, 1 free, 40s cooldown): EQUIP a shadow orb and view the range indicator. FIRE to throw the shadow orb to the marked location. Creates a long-lasting shadow orb that obscures vision. HOLD ALT FIRE to push the marker further away while aiming, HOLD the ability key to bring the marker closer. X (Ultimate) Ability — From the Shadows (7 Points): EQUIP a tactical map. FIRE to begin teleporting to the selected location. Omen becomes a Shadow Form while teleporting, and enemies can cancel the teleport by destroying it. First, let's talk about the goal in the room. Omen's Ultimate Ability is great when used correctly. But be careful, doing this is like mastering a fine art. You want to change where you teleport to keep your enemies on their toes.

This lets Omen ultimately serve three purposes. One: you can use it to gather information with the limited vision it gives you before canceling. Two: you can dive into the back lines when chaos breaks out. Or three: you can use it to sell a fake and rotate to another Reactor Site. Either way, you'll need to pick the best option to catch the enemy off guard.

How Do You Play Omen 2023?

There's a bit of a jack-of-all-trades feel to Omen's abilities. He's good on both attack and defense sides — which makes him one of the strongest agents in the game. He has flashes, and with Shrouded Step he has the ability to play both passively and aggressively.

This smoke ability lets him reach hard-to-reach spots, but it can become predictable after a while — just like his ultimate ability. If you're using it to get to a high ground, especially if you've used it successfully before, be careful about holding the same angle twice. Omen's smokes also provide a different level of flexibility. Since you can dictate where they land, you can pop them in the air to make them drop late for a timed site hit. Just remember that the 15-second smoke timer only starts once the smoke has fully spread.

Overall, Omen will play with the team and won't hide. Still, you won't want to enter first. You want to find a position to use your Paranoia to send your allies in, then follow the back lines by watching any flank. Thanks to the long range of all his abilities, he can afford to play a bit further from the site on both attack and defense.
