VALORANT Smokedancer: What We Know About the New Agent

VALORANT, added Harbor to its roster a long time ago. A recent leak revealed the codename of a new playable character expected to join the roster in an upcoming episode. The new agent is currently known to be in development and was revealed under the codename "Smokedancer." VALORANT Smokedancer release date is not known yet. What other details do we have about it?

When Will VALORANT Smokedancer Arrive?

VALORANT generally tries to keep the game's tactical experience fresh by adding new agents to its meta every few episodes. The most recently released agent, Harbor, took his place in the game in Episode 5 Act 3, which ended last month. Smokedancer (Agent 22, according to Riot) could be in the game in Episode 6 Act 2 or Act 3.

VALORANT Smokedancer Leaks

The game's agent roster includes 20 powerful agents, each carrying four abilities and feeding a unique playstyle. The action-heavy hero shooter features four agent classes. Players can choose among six Duelists, five Initiators, five Controllers and four Sentinels. The Sentinel class has developed the least so far. Because of this, fans might expect the new Agent to be a Sentinel, adding a new defensive meta to the game. However, Riot Games could instead offer something different than expected, introducing a new Duelist, Initiator or even Controller. The new agent codenamed Smokedancer could arrive in VALORANT with the ability to counter smoke or visual obstructions. We could see an ability that lets the agent see through smoke, along with a visual enhancement that comes with valid restrictions.
