Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Patch Notes: Gas Mask Setting and Nerfs (August 2022)

CoD: Warzone Season 5 Update Patch Notes

The Season 5 update adds a setting that lets players choose their gas mask manually or automatically. The gas mask animations were causing many problems for Warzone players, and in the Season 5 patch notes, Activision added this option. With the automatic setting, some of the problems that came with the gas mask animation will go away. The Serpentine Perk also receives a big nerf. It activates when tac sprinting and does not reduce explosive damage. This is intended to make the Perk largely ineffective overall. On top of all that, the Battle Hardened Perk received a buff and now has 80% flash and stun resistance.

To make long-range weapons more balanced, Variable Scope equipment received a nerf and now has a sniper glint and reduced recoil control. Changes also came to the Call of Duty: Vanguard Marksman Rifles, which now use assault rifle ammo instead of sniper rounds. Many Marksman Rifles in the game now have faster aim down sights (ADS) speeds. The top weapons, the Armaguerra 43, Marco 5 and H4 Blixen, are receiving various nerfs. The last major change in the update is the change to Fortune's Keep's player count. Fortune's Keep is now expected to have more players:

• Duos: 50
• Trios: 51
• Quads: 52
