Call of Duty: Warzone (Warzone) Pacific Season 2 update brought buffs and nerfs to many Vanguard weapons. Whatever the weapon trajectories and meta shifts, we have put together the ten most popular picks in Warzone. Whether you want to boost your KDA or just want to know which weapons will give you a competitive edge, be sure to check out our handy top ten weapon tier list below.

What Are the Top 10 Most Popular Weapons in Warzone?

As of March 6, 2022, these are the ten most popular weapons in Warzone. Despite the huge number of weapons on offer, only a few look consistent in Warzone as the meta shifts. We have seen a variety of weapons such as the Grau, Bruen, FFAR, MP40 and more rise and fall.

Call of Duty: Warzone Weapons Tier List March 2022

10. Grau 5.56

Easy-to-control recoil, clean iron sights and good damage keep it standing, even if it hits a little softer than before. A slower fire rate and underwhelming handling are the only things stopping it from regaining its once ubiquitous dominance.

9. AK-47 (BOCW)

The Black Ops Cold War AK-47 brings the classic positives and negatives. Fans of the CoD series will know that its high damage and strong range are largely offset by significant and unpredictable recoil. For these reasons the AK-47 can be unreliable at longer ranges, but with its damage and solid handling, few weapons can beat it at medium range.

8. Bren

Its reliable damage and modest recoil mean players of every caliber can use it to its full potential, and the huge magazines you expect from an LMG are also good. However, the nerfs came into play with the Season 2 update, and it has dropped significantly at the moment.

7. STG-44

Another classic of the CoD series, the STG-44 returns with a vengeance in Vanguard. It flew straight into the top three of Warzone's most popular weapons, but has now dropped to seventh as other Vanguard weapons have proven a bit stronger. Its handling and fire rate are not especially strong, but its easy-to-manage recoil and mouthwatering damage have kept it in the upper part of this list. However, the nerfs in the Season 2 update could push it down even further.

6. Welgun

Its fast fire rate and strong mobility mean the Welgun looks good up close, but its heavy recoil means firing consistent shots can be a challenge for beginners. Even so, it is rising quite steadily.

5. PPSh-41

The PPSh-41 is another classic of the CoD series brought back in Vanguard. It is not as strong as the iconic WaW version, but what it lacks in sound and rate of fire it more than makes up for in damage and handling. It is a versatile, powerful SMG, and only its long ranges take it out of its depth. You will need to improve its recoil and range with attachments and go from there.

4. Swiss K31

Throughout Season Six, the Swiss K31, consistently second to the Kar98k, found its way to the top spot. It is very similar to the World War II sniper rifle in damage, speed and handling, but it dropped as nerfs made their effects known. There is still not much between the two.

3. MP40

It was heavily nerfed in the Season 2 update and fell from a pick rate above 15% to below 8%. Its drop from the gold medal spot to bronze is also reflected in its position on the list. As players realize this is not the same weapon as before the patch, it seems certain to fall further.

2. Cooper Carbine

The Cooper Carbine's real strength lies in its fire rate, which dishes out bullets at a jaw-dropping pace. Naturally, this means players have to reload often and learn to control the weapon's minimal recoil. Even so, it can cut through enemies (almost) as fast as it tears through bullets, which makes it a great option at medium range. To really maximize its power up close, we recommend attachments that improve handling and mobility.

1. Kar98k

For a while now, the Kar98k has been the most popular sniper rifle in Warzone, and that remains true in Pacific Season 2. It found its way back to the top of the game's most popular weapons in Warzone Pacific Season 2 as it saw the popularity of Vanguard weapons fall because of nerfs. Forgiving, fast and powerful as always, there is no better long-range option to weaken, down and eliminate enemies.
