The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's next-gen update is now live across all time zones and platforms. While PC players have run into some issues with the new, upgraded graphics, the update has still brought some impressive improvements to an already-great open-world RPG. Alongside clear graphical upgrades, there's also a new quest players can take part in. The highlight of the new content is a new quest called "In The Eternal Fire's Shadow." It can be found at the Devil's Pit Fast Travel Post in Velen, a location that went unused in the original game. Fans, however, believe the Devil's Pit is the site of a scrapped side quest involving Ioverth and Nilfgaard. Regardless of that speculation, the Devil's Pit is at the center of this new quest, which rewards players with armor and weapons from the Forgotten School of the Wolf. Fans watching the Netflix series "The Witcher" will immediately recognize this armor as the set Geralt wears on the show. How do you get the armor and weapons inspired by the Witcher 3 Netflix series? Details in our article.

How Do You Get The Witcher 3's New Armor and Weapons?
The recommended level for In The Eternal Fire's Shadow is level 15, which is roughly where players should be after entering Velen and completing a few quests. Players loading an older save can also take on the quest regardless of their level. That said, the quest will feature enemies at levels 9-15, so players above that level won't face much of a challenge.
Wherever you set out from, you need to make your way to the Devil's Pit Fast Travel Post, located right in the middle of Velen.
Once you reach the Devil's Pit, you'll see a new quest marker (a yellow exclamation mark) appear on your screen. The quest marker is directly west of the fast travel point. There, you'll see a Priest of the Eternal Fire shouting toward the Devil's Pit with a cart behind him. Talk to the priest, go through the dialogue, and you'll start the In The Eternal Fire's Shadow quest.
After doing so, head down into the Devil's Pit, defeat the enemies, and make your way to the mine where a supposed spirit lies in wait, ready to unleash a plague on the world. Inside the mine, you'll have to use Witcher Senses and your Magic Lamp, but a spirit's voice will guide you along the way.
You'll learn that a Witcher named Reinald has been trapped in the mine, though there were some treacherous circumstances behind his imprisonment. We'll skip over any specific details about the quest so players can experience it for themselves. But after completing the quest with Reinald, you'll receive Diagrams from him for gear from the Forgotten School of the Wolf. However, these are only the base blueprints, and you'll need to travel to Kaer Morhen to retrieve the more advanced ones. This takes you to a new Treasure Hunt called "Scavenger Hunt: Forgotten Wolf School Gear Diagrams." You'll need to select this Treasure Hunt from your Quest Journal to track it.
Fast travel to Kaer Morhen, make your way through the keep, and head toward the quest marker. The marker will be in the keep's library. Go up the stairs and turn left, and you'll see a bookshelf shimmering with white sparkles. Search the bookshelf to find a note from Osmund and Vesemir. Osmund is the Witcher who has been in contact with Reinald about crafting the new armor now known as the Forgotten Wolf School gear.
You'll also need to read both notes you can find by going to your inventory and checking the "Quest Items" section. After reading both notes, you'll have all the Diagrams needed to craft the Forgotten Wolf School armor and swords. The set comes in three different versions: Basic, Mastercrafted, and Grandmaster.
The Basic set has a level requirement of 20, the Mastercrafted set requires 34, and the Grandmaster set requires 40. If you really want to look like Geralt from The Witcher Netflix series, you can keep crafting the new armor sets as you like. You're making progress through The Witcher 3's story, so these are rewards mainly obtained by returning players, but if you're new to the game, you can use these great cosmetic rewards as motivation to see more of the game and keep leveling up.
