There's been a sad development on Eternal Fire, the team we could describe as a Turkish mixed roster made up of some of our world-class stars. Just minutes ago, our world-class star Özgür "woxic" Eker posted LFT, announcing he's looking for a team. As fans who follow these sad developments closely, let's take a deep dive into what's going on. Here's what we think are the reasons behind woxic leaving the team!
Why Did Woxic Leave EF?
Özgür had recently been the subject of rumors circulating in the news. A number of news sites had started running stories claiming the team's split was because of him. It's worth reminding you upfront that we unfortunately can't confirm what we're writing here. So what follows is a mix of the stories that have come out. Of course, since these are rumors, it wouldn't be right to say all of them are true. It wouldn't really be right to call even one of them true, but some news sites say they're giving us this news based on information from their reliable sources. The biggest reason cited for Özgür leaving the team is seen as the team's persistent lack of success. We're not entirely sure how fair it is to call a team that reached a Major shortly after it was founded a failure. Beyond that, the biggest rumor circulating is that Özgür will be ending his CS:GO career. Even though he's denied this story, just like the others, we don't think this one is true either. So the bottom line is that woxic was benched on the team, and he tweeted that he'd consider any offers that come his way. We wish him nothing but success in his career going forward.
