What Is the Story of Yakuza: Like a Dragon?
Ichiban Kasuga, a low-expectation member of a low-ranking Yakuza family in Tokyo, is sentenced to 18 years in prison after being blamed for a crime he did not commit. Never losing his faith, he keeps passing his time in prison without trouble while waiting for his time to come. When he gets out, at a time when no one expects it of him, he re-enters life only to learn that his own clan has been destroyed by the man he respected most.
Ichiban sets out to discover the truth behind his family's betrayal and take back his life, and he forms a gang by bringing along a band of outcast misfits. Among the characters, Adachi appears as a rogue cop, Nanba as a homeless former nurse and Saeko as a hostess. With this team, they find themselves in a conflict maturing underground in Yokohama and become heroes they never expected to be.
