Among Us Airship Map: Release Date and Will It Be Free?

The Airship map was announced at The Game Awards 2020. Almost three months have passed since then, and Among Us fans want more information about the new map. While no firm release date has been given for the Airship map yet, it's expected to arrive sometime in early 2021, and given that we're now in March, the new map's release could come any day. Some details still haven't been revealed, and in general very little is known about Airship. This article covers whether the Airship update will be free and what its pricing will look like.

Ever since the new map came into the spotlight, players have been eagerly waiting for the Airship map to launch. Publisher InnerSloth has not yet shared a release date. Even though a general roadmap was announced two months ago, the Quickchat feature and fixes for in-game bugs also still haven't been delivered.

Will Among Us's New Airship Update Be Paid?

How much the Airship map will cost has become a point of curiosity. After all, many games charge real money for DLC content, so it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume InnerSloth might also charge for Among Us's new map. Among Us's previous maps were added for free, but the game wasn't nearly as popular back then. Now that the game is hugely popular, there's a real possibility that new upcoming maps could be paid, along with the idea that the company's desire to monetize this could outweigh other considerations.
