Best Football Career Games on PC 2024

eFootball PES 2021 Season Update

Previous Pro Evolution Soccer entries were fully removed by Konami from every storefront on every platform, and only players who already bought and own it on PC are still allowed to use mods. Given how mod-friendly eFootball PES 2021 Season Update is, PC players have access to a wide range of mods, from new stadiums, player faces, kits, and scoreboards to gameplay mods that change the game's mechanics.

FIFA 23

Since only a handful of changes were made between FIFA 23 and EA Sports FC 24, especially in career modes, players who prefer FIFA 23 might be encouraged to stick with it. It isn't as mod-friendly as Konami's football games, since updates often undo most modifications, and EA's focus for updates will now shift to EA Sports FC 24, but it's still definitely worth it.

FM 24

The Football Manager series has maintained the largest database of any football game for years, including teams and players you won't find in eFootball or EA Sports FC. While it's a purely tactical game, unlike many others where players can control every single person on their team, it remains the best football simulation game, putting players in the shoes of real-life managers. Every decision made with coaches, board members, and the rest of the staff has its own consequences, deciding all the outcomes involved. Given how soon the game is set to launch, we can say fans of career mode will likely favor it.

UFL

Even though Strikers Inc.'s football game will focus on online modes just like EA and Konami's own series, it has been confirmed to be playable offline, and fans of the game are hoping a career mode could be included. Since UFL has already impressed plenty of people even at this early stage, it's definitely a game that could compete with EA Sports FC 24 and serve as an alternative to it.

Man of the Match

We still have a long way to go before we get to try Man of the Match. However, word is that the game will offer the most complete football game experience, letting players play however they want. That ranges from being a spectator, to managing from the touchline, to playing on the pitch, to commentating, to even owning a club, and even so it seems to have earned its place as one of the most ambitious football games out there. While it's a game closer to the FM series, it lets players do everything football-related both on and off the pitch. It also includes technology that, alongside custom face scanning, will let players use their own faces in-game. We're hoping to see the game sometime in 2025.
