Best Call of Duty: Warzone Weapons for Season 3 (May 2021)

FARA 83

The FARA 83 was not viable last season because of its recoil. The developer, Raven Software, decided to turn the FARA from a close-range AR into a versatile weapon. The weapon's recoil was greatly reduced and it can now be used at extended ranges. The weapon's damage was also reduced slightly.

Krig 6

The Krig 6 was given a body damage buff. This shortened its time to kill by almost 100 milliseconds. The assault rifle now has damage values similar to the Kilo and the Grau. However, the Krig has a better TTK than the Grau and better range values than the Kilo. Among the three weapons, the Krig 6 is now the best choice for a long-range AR.

CR-56 AMAX

The AMAX was not part of the balance update, but the developer, Raven Software, said they will keep an eye on it in the coming weeks. It has been one of the top-tier weapons since its release last summer. The AMAX is incredible at distances under 50 meters and can also be used as a sniper support pistol.

M4A1

The M4A1 is competitive at long range, has controllable recoil and a 60-round magazine. However, keeping the weapon on target can be difficult in gunfights beyond 50 meters. Thanks to the changes made in Season 3, it has become useful for later seasons as well.

RAM-7

The RAM-7 has never been a popular weapon in Warzone, for a few reasons. It has a fast rate of fire with moderate recoil, and it can be troublesome beyond 20 meters. However, the RAM's recoil becomes manageable once players get used to it.

MP5 (MW)

The MP5 has a competitive TTK and is very easy to use. With the 5mW Laser, the MP5 excels in tight, chaotic gunfights. The SMG will return with some changes this season.

MP5 (CW)

The MP5 has a lot of vertical recoil. The farther away the enemy is, the harder it will be to shoot with the weapon. Those used to the old MP5 will probably prefer to use it.

Bullfrog

The Bullfrog is among the top three SMGs in the meta. It is not the most powerful SMG, but it has the best recoil pattern of the other close-range options on this list. Landing a few headshots while using the weapon significantly reduces the time it takes to take down an enemy. Players will love using the Bullfrog, which can be paired with an AR or a sniper.

PKM

The PKM has great recoil and damage values for a primary weapon. Its movement penalty and reload time make the weapon hard to use.

Bruen MK9

Very few players have used the Bruen in the last few seasons. Its recoil and damage values made the weapon hard to use. Despite these negative changes, the Bruen still looks set to compete with the best long-range weapons in the game.
