2021 has been a busy year in many ways for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. This year, major changes were made for some of the players who have sweated over CS:GO for many years. We have compiled the 5 most important CS:GO roster changes of 2021 for you.
CS:GO Team Rosters 2021
5. Swedish pro Robin "Flusha" Rönnquist, one of CS:GO's most successful players, decided to part ways with his roster in January 2021. Flusha, who previously played for teams such as Cloud9 and Fnatic, returned to his former team by joining his friends JW and Krimz to rebuild the Fnatic core.
4. French pro Cédric "RpK" Guipouy, a 31-year-old veteran of the Counter-Strike scene, filled the "Le Tank" role at Team Vitality. The reliable rifler delivered consistent performances for his roster from the start and, as a rising star, managed to silence many of his rivals. But unfortunately, Team Vitality removed RpK from the game in April 2021.
3. KennyS, one of the most prolific AWPers to bless CS:GO, left the roster this year. As you will remember, KennyS, who was actively playing on G2's CS:GO team, had been moved to the bench in recent months. The French AWPer, who gave his years to CS:GO, plans to move to Valorant in 2021.
2. Gabriel Toledo de Alcântara Sguario, known in game as FalleN, decided to leave his former team MIBR in 2020. In January 2021, Team Liquid announced that they would walk together with FalleN, the Brazilian player who will take the AWP and IGL roles, in their CS:GO roster.
1. Device, the most consistent AWPer of recent times, had made a name for himself at Astralis with countless trophies, four Major titles and two Major MVPs under his belt. Device announced in April 2021 that he was leaving the roster for NiP's $1 million offer, a move that was a shocking development for the whole CS:GO community. Device said that a lack of motivation stemming from being isolated from his team was also a reason for this decision, and that moving to NiP was the most logical step.
