A new weapon skin called Forsaken, inspired by the previously released Sovereign set, will be added for VALORANT Episode 2 Act 3.

With the new Forsaken skin line, Riot Games turns out to have done a new piece of work under the theme of "corruption," playing with the idea of transformation and thinking about how a Sovereign would look if it fell.

What Is VALORANT Forsaken? What Does It Do?

When a Sovereign is exiled and corrupted, the Forsaken emerges, and the weapon cosmetic set tries to capture and absorb that idea in its own design tone.

Like any good world and lore creation, VALORANT's future world also hides dualities of light and dark, and both are like two different sides of the same coin. As long as the Sovereign exists, the darker and more corrupted side of the Forsaken will also emerge.

What Is the Secret Behind VALORANT Forsaken?

VALORANT's senior content producer Preeti Khanolkar talked about the inspirations behind the creation of the Forsaken and said the following:

"The first inspiration for Forsaken actually began when we were creating Sovereign, imagining it with blue cracks spreading across the weapon's porcelain exterior. We did not think at first that the cracks fit Sovereign's magnificent and ornate style, but that image stuck in the back of our minds. "

Black Swan and Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle were also a huge inspiration for the design of the Forsaken. Preeti continued, speaking about the two films and the theme of transformation they represent:

"Natalie Portman's character goes through a transformation during the film, but despite her madness she stays delicate and graceful. And likewise, Howl transforms into a dark bird-like creature but manages to keep his graceful beauty. These two examples and the initial cracked Sovereign concept helped our artist design Forsaken as a corrupted version of Sovereign that feels beautiful within its own imperfections. "

How Much Does VALORANT Forsaken Cost? How Can I Get It?

VALORANT's Forsaken skin line will be priced at 7,100 VP, which makes it premium content.

The set will include the following weapons:

● Vandal

● Operator

● Spectre

● Classic

● Forsaken Ritual Blade (melee)

The bundle will also come with extra accessories including a card, a spray and a gun buddy.

Unlock Levels Needed for Forsaken

The unlock levels of VALORANT's Forsaken skin line are as follows:

● Level 1: Model with custom ADS reticle and custom ejectable ammo

● Level 2: Custom muzzle flash VFX and firing sound; empty gem effect (gem vortexes)

● Level 3: Custom equip VFX / Sound (cracks appear); custom reload VFX / Sound (cracks visible); custom inspect sound; gem reacts to kills

● Level 4: Kill Banner and Finisher

● Level 5: Chroma with gold model and blue VFX (v1); Finisher and Kill Banner themes are built on the Sovereign look.
