Brawl Stars February 2024 Brawl Talk: Angelo, Melodie, Ranked

Brawl Stars has announced the first update of the new year! Brawl Stars February 2024 Brawl Talk will introduce two new Brawlers alongside changes to Ranked mode, new skins, a new Solo mode, several Hypercharges, and more in the upcoming update.

Brawl Stars February 2024 Brawl Talk: New Brawler Angelo

Angelo is a sharpshooter, and the longer you hold your aim, the more powerful your attacks become. Angelo can also stand on water, like a mosquito.

What Is Angelo's Super?

With his Super, Angelo summons a section of swamp and damages every enemy inside it. It also adds poison to his damage-over-time arrows, making Angelo's attack even more powerful.

Angelo comes with a 29-Gem skin called Elf Angelo.

Brawl Stars February 2024 Brawl Talk New Brawler: Melodie

Melodie will arrive as a Legendary Brawler in late March.

She is an assassin with a medium-damage, long-range attack. What makes her powerful is that a music note forms around her every time she hits a target. The music notes keep spinning around her and deal damage on contact.

What Is Melodie's Super?

When she charges her Super, she gets three bars that must be used during the same Super activation. Players can't recharge their Super again until they've used all three bars first. The goal here is to circle her music notes around you and then throw them onto the enemy.

Melodie comes with a Scandinavian-themed skin.

Brawl Stars February 2024 Brawl Talk: New Hypercharges

There will be six new Hypercharges in the game:

• Cordelius: Now slows down everyone with him in the Shadow Realm.
• Buzz can keep using his Super while his Hypercharge is active.
• El Primo now has a bigger area of effect and pulls people toward himself instead of pushing them away.
• Belle's Super now homes in on its target.
• Sprout's walls now deal damage when you get too close.
• Bibi's Bubble Gum now splits in two when it hits a target.

New Game Mode: Trophy Escape

This update also releases a new Solo mode called Trophy Escape. Just like in Showdown, it pits ten players against each other. But in this mode, the way to earn Trophies is by eliminating players and bots, or by collecting Trophies during the match as the last player standing.

After five players have been eliminated, portals will activate on the map, letting you escape the fight with the Trophies you have. However, this portal doesn't work right away. It activates the moment you step onto it, but you need to wait a bit before you're safely teleported out of the match. If you're defeated, you lose even if you've collected a large number of Trophies.

If you defeat a Brawler, you can collect all the Trophies they were carrying. If no one is eliminated before time runs out, everyone loses. Players need to make sure they reach this portal. Trophy Escape will be available as soon as the Sands of Time Season begins.

Ranked Mode

Ranked is the new competitive mode replacing Power League, and it's meant to be more rewarding, more fun, and fairer. For newcomers, players can only pick Brawlers that are Power Level 9 or higher.

From Bronze to Gold, matches will be best-of-one (Bo1), similar to Mega Pig, with no ban phase. From Diamond to Masters, the format returns to what players are used to:

• Best-of-three (Bo3) with a ban phase.
• Players can only rank up to Diamond if they have at least 12 Brawlers at Power Level 9 or higher.

The developers have removed Solo and Team queues. Players can play alone, in a duo, or in a three-player team. If you play solo against a team, matchmaking will adjust to make the match more balanced.
