Clash of Clans Town Hall 8 War Base 2023
Since we keep our strategy for war bases the same as with previous Town Halls, we place the Town Hall right at the center of our village to try to keep our main building as protected as possible. We secure our ground defense by placing 4 mortars in the rings surrounding the Town Hall. We also protect our loot by placing our storages in the rings around the Town Hall. By placing our air defenses on the outer rings of our village, we can fend off incoming air attacks in advance. By placing our cannons and archer towers at the outermost points of the village, we can wipe out ground and air attacks as our first line of defense. We place our wizard towers on 3 corners of our village to significantly boost our damage. You can find an example layout below.

Since our Town Hall isn't very important in farming layouts, we can place it outside the village. We need to place our storages at the center of our village to keep our loot as far from attacks as possible. We place the Dark Elixir storage, which matters a lot to many players, right at the center of our village so our enemies can't reach it. We place wizard towers around our storages to help block ground and air attacks. Our hidden Teslas can also destroy attacks completely by surprise. We place mortars around our village so we can fend off ground attacks even from a distance. In hybrid base layouts, our goal is to be able to defend both our loot and our Town Hall. That's why we place our Town Hall at the center of the village to achieve one part of that goal. We place the Dark Elixir storage, which matters to players, next to our Town Hall to significantly protect our loot. By surrounding our Town Hall with mortars, we follow an important approach to ground defense. We place our air defense units in the outer areas of the village so we can fend off potential air attacks in advance. Just like we did with the war base and farming base, we place our cannons and archer towers in the outer parts of the village as our first line of defense.
