In clan wars, our goal is singular. Our goal is to keep our main building, the Town Hall, from being destroyed, and to give the opponent as few stars as possible. With that in mind, here's how we arranged this layout;

We placed the Town Hall at the center of the village, putting our main structure at the heart of our defense. We positioned a mortar near it to support the Town Hall so it can fend off potential air and ground attacks in advance. We backed the Town Hall up with an air defense unit so it can spot and fire at potential air attacks a bit earlier. We strengthened our defense further by placing our archer towers and cannons diagonally across from the Town Hall. We also placed our wizard tower next to our gold storages, protecting our loot in a way.

Your opponent's goal in normal war attacks is clear: to seize your loot. We're bringing you a layout designed to defend against exactly that. For this reason, we can place our Town Hall outside the village. In this layout, we position a mortar, an air defense, and a wizard tower at the center of the village, around our gold and elixir storages. We place our cannons around our gold and elixir mines so we don't lose loot from those points. We also need to place our archer towers diagonally across the village, since our gold and elixir storages are located there as well. With these placements, we aim to protect the loot in our village.

If you don't want to build either of the two layouts, and instead want to both protect your loot and defend your Town Hall, we have a layout for you too. In this layout, we place both our Town Hall and our loot storages at the center of the village. We reinforce the area around them with mortar and wizard tower support. At the same time, our cannons stay on alert and our traps are ready against any potential ground attacks on our Town Hall. Placing our archer towers around our mines is enough.
