The Archer Queen is a true tank hunter — when her special ability is used, her attack speed doubles so tanks get finished off before they can even reach the towers. She's also effective against cards like Pekka that hit hard and have a lot of health but attack slowly. The moment Pekka crosses into your territory, an Archer Queen dropped in the middle of the field first draws Pekka's attention, then uses her special ability to hide behind her cloak and start firing her deadly arrows. Since Pekka can't see the Archer Queen, it turns back toward the tower and wastes time. This lets you melt Pekka down with ease. (A similar defensive tactic can be used against other cards too.)

Now let's move on to this deck's main offensive weapons: the Ice Golem and Hog Rider combo. This classic pairing, which everyone knows, is used to distract other cards and cycle the deck. The spells we keep in hand are held back to deal area damage whenever it's needed.
