FC 25 Rush Mode: Features and Rules Explained

FC 25 Rush Mode Features

Rush mode stands out as the best feature announced for FC 25 so far. This mode will finally let players do something they've long wanted, namely play in a competitive 5v5 setting that delivers a unique gameplay experience.

Unlike Volta mode, Rush will be included across all FC 25 game modes and will give players a new way to experience their favorite modes.

Rush matches will last seven minutes, there will be no halftime, and the clock will stop when the ball goes out of play. If the match ends in a draw after regular time, a two-minute golden-goal extra time period is played. If that isn't enough to decide a winner, teams will take 1v1 penalty shootouts.

What Are FC 25 Rush Mode's Rules?

Rush's rules differ quite a bit from those of the standard football game.

The kickoff experience is completely different, as players from both teams sprint toward a ball thrown into the middle of the pitch and try to win possession of it.

Rush's offside rule is also different, since players can only be offside in the attacking third. This was done to suit the smaller pitch, another feature that sets Rush apart from every other FC 25 game mode.

Another major change is that there are no red cards in Rush; instead, players who commit a serious foul will receive a blue card and be temporarily sent off the pitch for one minute.

If the opposing team scores, the sin-bin time is reduced by 15 seconds, letting the player return to the pitch faster. This is similar to futsal's red-card rule, where a team plays down a player for two minutes unless the opposing team scores.

Stamina also works differently in Rush, as players will only be affected by short-term stamina loss during matches. This feature will make Rush a much more dynamic and fast-paced mode.

Players can use the right stick to signal to teammates where they want a pass to go or where they're making a run. Players can also send quick messages during a match, such as for a pass, cross, shot or pressing the ball.

Rush Mode Is Coming to All Game Modes!

Rush will be featured in Ultimate Team, Clubs, Kick Off and Career modes.

In Ultimate Team, players will be able to pick a player from their squad, team up with friends, and earn rewards that can be used to improve their main squad.

For Clubs fans, this new mode will be music to their ears. That's because players will be able to use their Pro to face off 5v5 against friends, earn rewards, and climb the leaderboard.

In Career Mode, players will be able to compete in Rush tournaments using their Youth Academy teams, offering a new way to develop players.

In Kick Off mode, players will be able to pick a team and compete against the CPU or their friends.
