What Is Chemistry in FUT 22 and What Does It Do?

Each player's Chemistry rating depends on the position they're playing, who they're linked to, their loyalty bonus and a potential manager bonus.

The maximum chemistry for any team in FUT 22 and every previous Ultimate Team has been 100, and each player's rating is calculated out of 10.

The higher a player's Chemistry, the bigger the boost their stats get.

How Do You Build Links in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team?

How Do Player Links Work?

When it comes to links, which help with things that require chemistry between players such as formation, positioning and covering gaps on the pitch, the factors affecting a player's chemistry are their;

• League,
• Club,
• Nationality, and
• Position, among other factors.

Strong Links (Green)

If you open your team and see that the link between two connected players is green, and you did that without even trying, we have good news for you: you're on the right track. Players with a green link between them get perfect chemistry, which also boosts your overall team chemistry.

When two players who share any two of the following traits are linked, you get a green link, meaning a strong link:

• Club
• League
• Nation

Medium Links (Yellow or Orange)

When you open your team and see an orange link (some call it yellow), it means the two players are compatible, though not fully. Sharing just one of the traits below is enough to get a yellow or orange link.

Medium links are achieved by linking two players who share one of the following traits:

• Club
• League
• Nation

Dead Links (Red)

The link type you'll see as red in your team is a dead link — players who share no common factor and won't give each other a chemistry bonus.

That said, even if you have a red link, you can still reach maximum chemistry (100 team chemistry) if you get strong (orange) or perfect (green) links elsewhere.

How Do You Choose a Coach in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team?

Choosing the right manager is another way to build chemistry in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

A manager from the same league or nation as any member of your starting XI gives that player a +1 Chemistry boost. If your player already has 10, i.e. full chemistry, there's no extra contribution.

You can change your manager's league to use your favorite coaches in different leagues. To do this, you can buy a manager league from the transfer market.

For example, say the player in your team is Pogba, with 9 chemistry. If you put Zidane in charge, Paul Pogba gets a +1 chemistry boost because they share the same nationality (both French), regardless of the manager's league. If the coach in charge of your team is José Mourinho instead, his league has to be the Premier League for Pogba to get that +1 chemistry.

How Do Players Earn Loyalty and What Does It Do?

If a player has been in your starting XI or on the bench for 10 matches (they don't need to actually play, just be in the squad), they earn loyalty and get a +1 bonus added to their chemistry.

Also, every player you pull from a pack automatically joins your team with the loyalty bonus already applied.

How Do You Apply Chemistry Styles to Players?

The higher a player's Chemistry rating, the bigger the boost they get to their in-game stats.

With Chemistry Styles, you can boost the specific stats you think a given player needs to improve.

For example, you might have a player with low pace, and you can apply the Hunter chemistry style to bring that player's pace up to their maximum.
