FIFA 23 Shapeshifters Team 3 Review

In my opinion the most fun and, among the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team community's favorite promos, FIFA 23 Ultimate Team's Shapeshifters promo has now dropped its Team 3. The whole point of the Shapeshifters promo is that players' positions get changed. Let's see whose positions have been changed.

FIFA 23 Shapeshifters Team 3 Icon Player Review

RW: Thierry Henry (Shapeshifter Icon) - 98 OVR

For years the community has been unhappy that a truly great Thierry Henry card hadn't dropped. It looks like EA finally listened to us this year, because they have put out an incredibly good Henry card. On top of every stat being excellent, they have also given him 5-star skill moves and 5-star weak foot. It's a card that can play in any area of the attack. I think it's the best player on Shapeshifters Team 3.

CB: Bastian Schweinsteiger (Shapeshifter Icon) - 97 OVR

EA has turned the former German midfielder into a very good centre-back. Looking at the card, a Pace of 90 and Defending and Physical of 97 make him one of the best centre-backs in the game. High passing and dribbling stats, combined with 5-star weak foot, will make it easy for you to bring the ball out of defense.

Rating: 9/10

ST: Luis Figo (Shapeshifter Icon) - 95 OVR

Even though Figo has 5-star skills and looks good on paper, it's a card that can't translate those stats onto the pitch. You can play him if you pull him from a pack, but if you're not a Figo fan, I wouldn't recommend buying him.

CM: Luis Figo (Shapeshifter Icon) - 95 OVR

Everything I said about the striker card applies to this one too. But since his body type suits midfield better, I'd say you can try this card at CM.

LW: Sol Campbell (Shapeshifter Icon) - 92 OVR

Clearly one of the worst cards in Team 3. If instead of a winger card they'd made him a good defensive midfielder card, his big and tall body type would have suited him much better.

FIFA 23 Shapeshifters Team 3 Regular Player Review

ST: Paul Pogba (Juventus) - 97 OVR

EA has brought the French midfielder in as a striker. And they have done it so well that Pogba has become the best card in Serie A. His height, his unique body type, his lengthy running style (like a racehorse that opens up late, controlled by his chemistry style), high stats, and the 5-star skill moves/5-star weak foot combo make Pogba a genuinely great and also very fun card.

CF: Nicolas Pepe (Nice) - 93 OVR

Even though it's a weak card for a striker, you can play him if you like him or you have a low-budget squad.

Rating: 6/10

LW: Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla) - 91 OVR)

If you're looking for a card even worse than Campbell's, you have come to the right place. Here is Team 3's worst card. His body type and weak foot problems are so dominant that they make him unplayable even with high stats.

Rating: 3/10

CM: Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) - 96 OVR

One of the biggest reasons this year's Shapeshifters promo is so loved is that goalkeepers are having their positions changed too. He's turned out to be a good Premier League CM card.

CAM: Joao Felix (Chelsea) - 96 OVR

Felix has always been a really fun card to dribble with, and this card is no different. It's very enjoyable to play and a good card.

Rating: 8/10

LB: Lukas Klostermann (RB Leipzig) - 95 OVR

Klostermann has come out as one of the best left-backs in the game; his tall physique and pace make him a difference-maker at left-back. If you can chemistry him and you're looking for a left-back, he's a great pick.

Rating: 9/10

ST: Harry Maguire (Manchester United) - 95 OVR

Honestly, Maguire would have been much better as a striker than a centre-back :) A card made purely for fun.

Rating: 5/10

RB: Jerome Roussillon (Union Berlin) - 94 OVR

If you're looking for a Bundesliga or French right-back, Roussillon is the right pick for you. He has more than adequate stats for a full-back.

Shapeshifter Team 3 Players Overall Review

Even though it's not as strong as Shapeshifter Team 1 and Team 2, there are plenty of fun cards here. I quite liked this promo. Since we're now near the end of the game cycle, I'd recommend playing with the cards you like. My overall rating for Shapeshifter Team 3 is 7/10
