Re-elected FIFA president Gianni Infantino shared with FIFA fans that the organization's upcoming FIFA game series will be "the best esports game for any girl or boy," despite splitting from longtime developer Electronic Arts (EA).

As The Times' chief sports correspondent Martyn Ziegler noted, Infantino confirmed that FIFA plans to launch its own football game to rival its former developer EA. Saying FIFA will "have news on this very soon," Infantino added, "The new FIFA game - the FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on - will always be the best egame for any girl or boy".

Infantino, "the only authentic, real game bearing the FIFA name will be the best one available for players and football fans" he continued. "The interactive gaming and esports industry is on an unrivaled path of growth and diversification. FIFA's strategy is to make sure we can make the most of all future options and offer a broad range of products and opportunities for players, fans, member associations and partners."
EA, meanwhile, is developing its own football game in the form of EA Sports FC, for which it will hold more than 300 licensing partners.
