Honor of Kings Invitational Tournament Begins in Türkiye

The first leg of the international Honor of Kings Invitational tournament kicks off in Türkiye with a prize pool exceeding 9 million TL

Mobile MOBA giant Honor of Kings, with more than 100 million daily active players worldwide, has officially launched in Türkiye. The game, free to download with Turkish language support, will also receive local Heroes and skins going forward. In addition, as part of its strategy to expand into global markets, Honor of Kings, which has planned a $15 million investment in the international esports ecosystem, is launching the first leg of this program in Istanbul. Esports teams from 5 different countries, including Türkiye, will compete for a prize pool exceeding 9 million TL and a spot in the next stage at the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 1 tournament, to be held at Grand Pera between March 2–10.

Honor of Kings Invitational Tournament Kicks Off in Türkiye!

Honor of Kings, the world's most-played mobile MOBA with 100 million daily active users, has been made available to players in Türkiye following a pre-registration period that saw intense interest. All 72 starter Heroes in the game are available to players for free for the launch month, and Heroes and skins inspired by global collaborations with brands like SNK and Hello Kitty are also in the game.

Multiple game mode options

Honor of Kings, which always encourages players to learn new skills and improve their existing ones, offers alternative modes such as Standard and Ranked 5v5, Mini Canyon, 1v1, and Infinite Battle Training. In addition, Honor of Kings promises players who take part in in-game events the chance to win Heroes, skins, and many more surprises.

Şenyüz: More than 3 million players joined the pre-registration program

Speaking about the intense interest Honor of Kings saw from gaming enthusiasts in the region during its pre-registration period, Tencent Games Türkiye Country Manager Aras Şenyüz stated: "In just two months, more than 3 million players from Türkiye, the Middle East, North Africa, and the CIS region pre-registered for the game. While bringing the world's most-played mobile MOBA game to Türkiye, we went through a very intensive preparation process to make sure our players get the maximum enjoyment, and we carried out work specific to our country. The game has Turkish language support, and we will keep increasing our localization elements going forward. In addition to the original Heroes and skins, we will also add local characters and skins from our country to Honor of Kings. In parallel, in order to improve game quality, we will set up regional servers, and we will always take our players' feedback into account through the dedicated customer service teams we've set up to listen to their requests."

Şenyüz continued: "We are extremely proud to have been chosen to host the first tournament of the Honor of Kings Global Invitational Series, which enters the international mobile esports scene with a major investment plan for 2024. This development highlights Türkiye's importance in the global gaming ecosystem. Honor of Kings Invitational Season 1 in Istanbul this week

Alpha 7 Esports, Major Pride, Stalwart Esports, Twisted Minds, and Vivo Keyd Stars from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and Beşiktaş Esports, FUT KAOS, and IW WRX from Türkiye, will take part in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 1 tournament. Alongside a prize pool exceeding 9 million TL, the teams will also compete for the right to advance to Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2.

Honor of Kings Türkiye YouTube and Twitch channels will stream the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 1 live, and the tournament schedule is as follows:

• March 2–5: Group Stages
• March 7–8: Quarterfinals
• March 9: Semifinals
• March 10: Final Matches
