5. Veigar

It's been a long time since this yordle saw the light of pro play, since he's usually hard to use in a meta full of hyper-mobile champions bouncing all over the place. That said, he's getting some pretty significant buffs — and now might finally be the time for Veigar to dominate the Rift.

We strongly recommend locking in this champion for some free LP before the inevitable nerf hits. (Unlike his cousin Vex, who seems immune to the nerf bat.)

4. Vex

We know there are 3 certainties in life. Death, taxes, and Vex being OP every patch. Right now, Veigar's gloomy cousin is performing well in every skill bracket... Just like she has since her release a while back. When will Riot finally nerf this champion?!

If you don't mind listening to her amusing voice lines, this champion is a great pick in LoL Patch 12.02.

3. Zed

In LoL Patch 12.02, League's relentless assassin is as broken as ever. There are many ways to itemize him, which makes him a suitable pick for a wide variety of team compositions. Essentially a perfect solo-queue champion, he offers a ton of tools to mechanically skilled players, leaving their opponents little room to fight back.

If you're not picking him yet, start banning him!

2. Viktor

Playing against this champion is incredibly frustrating. He scales insanely well, provides utility, and is a nightmare that needs to be punished in the game's current state. He's just too strong and desperately needs nerfs.

Once Viktor can afford a Zhonya's Hourglass and a Rabadon's Deathcap, he becomes nearly unkillable. Do yourself a favor and ban him in LoL Patch 12.02.

1. Zeri

In true Riot fashion, the game's developers shipped a completely broken marksman champion. Surprised? It's even more shocking that this champion is going wild in the mid lane! Zeri's kit lets her push waves fast and zoom around the map — navigating the map has never been this fun! (For the Zeri player, that is.)

Another champion with 200 years of design behind her has arrived. When will Riot learn? Please ban this champion, or your LP will be wiped out!
