LoL Patch 12.1 Mid Lane Tier List: Top 5 Champions (January 2022)

In this LoL Tier List we show you the strongest picks for the mid lane. We want to give you the best champions to climb with in this new Season. Because placements matter, and you deserve the best chance to reach your Ranked goal!

LoL Patch 12.1 Mid Lane Top 5 Champions

5. Ahri

Always a safe pick, Ahri is a Jack of All Trades in the mid lane. With her long range, high mobility, durability and crowd control, Ahri is one of the most versatile champions you can play. If you were afraid of being counter-picked, Ahri is a good answer in LoL Patch 12.01.

Although she has several Mythic options, Crown of the Shattered Queen and Luden's Echo stand out. If you need to be able to blow up squishy targets, Shadowflame is a good second purchase, or if you need to be tougher, Cosmic Drive will serve you well.

4. Vladimir

Although not popular because of his high skill ceiling, Vladimir loves the increase in game length brought by the Preseason changes. Finding himself among the strongest late-game champions, Vladimir dominates all matches beyond 30 minutes. The new Cosmic Drive is a must-buy on this champion; after that, look to buy as much AP as possible.

If you can put up with the steep learning curve this champion has, you will drown your enemies in a sea of red in LoL Patch 12.01.

3. Lux

League's favorite poster girl is still at the top and does not look like she is going anywhere soon. Since some big buffs in the preseason period, Lux has been extremely strong, even though she was nerfed in the latest patch.

Lux provides an extremely safe laning phase that turns into an oppressive teamfight mage. Who can kill enemies from multiple screens away. Requiring little to no experience to play, Lux is a safe pick for all your ranked needs in Patch 12.01!

2. Anivia

Anivia is the queen of wave clear. No other champion can stall games the way Anivia does. If you want to play slow and calculated and scale into the late game, Anivia is the pick for you.

Although she has a few bad matchups, Anivia mostly has an extremely safe laning phase. Once she reaches her legendary power spike and can buy Crown of the Shattered Queen, your enemies will be grasping at straws trying to kill you. Pick this cool Cryophoenix in LoL Patch 12.01, you will not regret it!

1. Zed

Zed has been common in the meta for years, but he is not messing around with this patch. Right now, with 26%, he has the highest ban rate of any champion in the mid lane. Although he is a bit hard to play, with a little practice and a little friend called Axiom Arc, Zed will ravage the Mid Lane like nothing else.

If you get the chance to pick him when he is not banned, take it! You will achieve great success and your LP will thank you!
