TFT Set 5.5 Update and All Mechanics

Teamfight Tactics Set 5 has thrilled many players since the day it was announced and became the most loved part of TFT. It seems Riot Games evaluates the feedback it receives from players very sensitively and meticulously and keeps improving the experience of TFT players. The TFT Set 5.5 update coming after TFT Patch 11.14 is the best example of this. With the new TFT Set 5.5, players will witness never-before-seen mechanics in this massive mid-season update.

TFT Set 5.5: Divine Blessing

Divine Blessing loot orb appearing in a Teamfight Tactics lobby

With Teamfight Tactics Set 5.5 Divine Blessing, players who missed the chance to climb in the early game will have a chance to get back into the game with the Dawn of Heroes set.

Riot Games describes Divine Blessing as a defense against the Black Mist that ensures the shadows never return. The Divine Blessing mechanic, which will be added to TFT with Patch 11.15, will be a loot orb from which players who fall below 40 HP can obtain various loot. It will offer every player in the lobby contents such as components, completed items, a spatula, gold or champions.

The actual components and champions may differ among lobby players, and they give those below 40 HP a chance to regain their power in the game and to finish for players in the top four. Despite the differences that may appear, according to the TFT team, every player's Divine Blessing will have "a uniform value".

TFT Set 5.5: Tome of Traits

The Tome of Traits, written by Urf, is a rare item obtained from a Radiant or a gold orb. By selling the Tome of Traits, players reveal an Armory containing a total of four Emblems. If the Tome of Traits drops from a rare gold orb, players must have an empty space on their bench in order to use it.

TFT Set 5.5: Emblems

Shadow Items are gone, but some traits remain. Trying to make up for the absence of Shadow Items and the Shadow Spatula, the Riot design team has also placed in TFT Set 5.5 a set of emblems that will be in the Armory and carry the traits of the Shadow items.

TFT Set 5.5: Radiant Items

The Skyglass event added in Teamfight Tactics' previous patch helped Pengu solve a secret. It revealed a secret he could use against the Black Mist threatening all of Runeterra. That secret was the Radiant Items themselves!

Row of Radiant items from Teamfight Tactics Set 5.5When Shadow Items were first added to TFT, many players were very excited and thought about the benefit they could get from this mechanic. However, these Shadow Items also came with many downsides and, as a result of wrong decisions, caused unexpected problems for many players. With the TFT Set 5.5 Dawn of Heroes update, a completely different set of items, Radiant Items, is added to the game. These items are so powerful that they not only have no downsides but also carry that many bonus traits. Despite being that powerful, you can only have 1 Radiant item during a match. However, if luck doesn't smile on you and you can't get the Radiant Item you want, don't be sad. In stage 3-6 of the match, you will get a choice for Radiant Items in the Armory.
