However, according to claims from Insider Gaming, some members of the team responsible for developing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have been brought onto the Rayman remake project. Despite being one of 2024's most ambitious releases, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was commercially unsuccessful. Because of this, that team was disbanded, and some members joined Ubisoft Milan for the Rayman remake.

Ubisoft has stated that the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown team was not laid off but redirected to other projects, showing it is trying to minimize job losses in the game industry. The Rayman remake stands out as one of these projects.
