Ubisoft Partners with Tezos as a Corporate Baker (April 2021)

Ubisoft, one of the extremely large and important game companies, has partnered with Tezos. Nomadic Labs signaled the partnership with a post on its Twitter account.

Nomadic Labs president and Tezos blockchain expert Michel Mauny made the following statements on the matter:

"We are very happy to work with the Ubisoft Strategic Innovation Lab for them to explore Tezos. Ubisoft is one of the first major companies to show interest in blockchain technology, having tested various protocols over the years. For this reason, we are happy to welcome Ubisoft into our ecosystem."

The company said its goals are to explain blockchain technology to people and to help the technology spread. Ubisoft's Blockchain Initiative Director Nicolas Pouard shared his thoughts on the matter as follows:

"As a corporate baker, we are happy to join the Tezos ecosystem. Ubisoft believes that blockchain has the potential to bring new opportunities to both players and developers. This new collaboration will allow us to continue our innovation efforts with an ecosystem that fits our eco-friendly approach, thanks to its proof-of-stake consensus algorithm."
