What Is the Story of Surgeon Simulator 2?

Our main character, Nigel Burke, isn't even really a doctor. Before becoming a surgeon, he was a married man in his 30s working at a supermarket, who ended up divorced and forced to sell his house due to a string of misfortunes. He later met a hospital worker named Trisha at a bar, impressed her with his tremendous medical knowledge, and went on to continue his career as a surgeon at the hospital where Trisha worked.

Having ended his career as a cashier, Nigel achieved remarkable success in his new role at the hospital. He successfully performed several different heart transplants, a double kidney transplant, and a brain transplant on a patient injured in a car accident, and then began climbing the career ladder two rungs at a time. Nigel's fame soon reached even extraterrestrial beings, and as his masterwork, he operated on an alien, earning himself the title of the best doctor in the universe.
