When you go into a match with the 4-4-2 A formation, you should choose Use the Wings among the special tactics. This way, your full-backs and wingers will contribute to the attack, feeding your strikers up front and making your team much more effective on goal.

Line Tactics

For your line tactics, you should give the "Fullbacks Forward" instruction to further reinforce your full-backs' attacking contribution. You can also set your strikers to "Stay Forward" so they get into more scoring positions.
