OSM 6-3-1A Tactic 2023! How Should We Set Up the 631A Tactic's Players?

To break it down as a list:

• 3 Centre-Backs: Very high defending, almost zero attacking strength
• 2 Fullbacks: Have some attacking strength, but their defending isn't too low either
• 2 Central Midfielders: Stronger going forward, but their defending isn't too low either
• 1 Attacking Midfielder: Fully attack-minded, creative, and effective at finding goals
• 1 Striker: A true centre-forward and the team's most important name when it comes to finding goals. It may be more useful to place a veteran player here

What Should the OSM 6-3-1A Playing Style and Line Tactic Be?

Since we're playing very defensively, the best move we can make is to push forward quickly, and we should only look to hit the team on the counter-attack.

Since we're determined not to give the opponent 3 points under any circumstances;

• Striker: Support Midfield
• Midfield: Protect Defense
• Defense: Stay in Position

Since we've made our fullbacks attack-minded, they'll also contribute to attack on the counter-attacks we launch. There's no need to tell them to push forward again and leave the back exposed.

How Do You Set Up the OSM 631A Defensive Setup and Marking?

Since the back is crowded, man-marking will be more ideal. By playing one-on-one defense against the opponent, we'll prevent them from moving freely and finding positions. Since we'll be man-marking on the marking setting, it's worth adjusting your play based on the referee.

What Should We Set the OSM 631A Pressing, Style, and Tempo Sliders To?

Playing with 6 defenders means we can't afford to park the bus. The most important thing here will be keeping our tempo high. Since we want to break out on the counter the moment we win the ball, we should look to score quickly with fast passing.

We're also aiming to keep our pressing high, though not as high as our tempo, to suffocate the opponent and win the ball back.
